Hi there. Iam new here but i wanted to know if it is possible to install sierra on optiplex 360 Wolfdale Lga775. Thanks for you response in advance...

I flashed a USB Drive with the macOS Catalina RAW image, mounted the EFI of USB, replaced it with the EFI provided in this link (GitHub - thedeadfish59/Dell_Inspiron_5537-Hackintosh: EFI Bootloader files to boot macOS Big Sur using OpenCore on Dell Inspiron 5537), set boot mood to 'UEFI, secure boot: off', and booted of the USB. The installation was a success; however, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth won't work. Then followed a guide provided in this video : Nothing worked, but I did get a warning from Open Core Configurator that the config file made, is made of an older version of Open Core Configurator, regardless of the warning I followed the guide and made the changes, but Wi-Fi and Bluetooth still don't work. What do I do now to get Wi-Fi and Bluetooth? (And do I need to re-install macOS Catalina (because I do not get the default boot screen now and get a text based Open Core menu)? If so, would it be possible to put macOS Big Sur on the laptop with all components working?

Credits: Jief_Machak, Slice and acidanthera team Some words from Slice Since rev5123 devs make joined bootloader Clover+OpenCore. It started as Clover using Clover's GUI and ability to change settings and then started OpenCore to inject and patche kexts and start macOS. Starting Windows and other OSes is done by Clover's way. There are new section in config.plist named Quirks that collect setting for OpenCore but some setting is just delegated from Clover because it can change it on the fly. There is a correspondence of OpenCore and traditional Clover settings to easy migrate from OpenCore to new Clover. OpenCore Clover AppleCpuPmCfgLock AppleIntelCPUPM AppleXcpmCfgLock KernelPm DisableRtcChecksum AppleRTC LapicKernelPanic KernelLapic About kernel and kext patches there is the follow. 1. OC accounts them as same and name "kernel" in the place of name of kext. Clover has different section for Kernel patches, kexts patches and Booter (boot.efi) patches. 2. Clover deal only with 64 bit arch while OC has "Arch" parameter. Other fields are OpenCore Clover Base Procedure Comment Comment Count Count Enabled Disabled Skip Skip Identifier Name Find Find Mask MaskFind Replace Replace ReplaceMask MaskReplace MaxKernel - MinKernel - - MatchOS - InfoPlistPatch - RangeFind 3. Procedure name in OpenCore must be long like __ZN8AppleRTC18setupDateTimeAlarmEPK11RTCDateTime Clover can use short name. In the example it can be setupDateTimeAlarm. 4. OpenCore assumes byte mask while Clover assumes bit masking. In the case of 0xFF00FF it will be the same. More careful see documentation for OpenCore and samples for Clover at this page. 5. RangeFind restrict search in Clover by several bytes. I don't know if OpenCore is able do the same. 6. Patches in OpenCore can be "Enabled" by setting the variable while in Clover they are enabled by default. User can disable it in the config.plist or in Clover GUI. 7. For Kernel patches we had additional "StartPattern" and corresponding "MaskStart" to define a place from what we want to search. OpenCore has no such service. Later we will extend the possibility.

I have installed Big Sur on my laptop Asus-x409ja with CPU i5-1035G1(G1 graphic, has faked to G4). I have some issues. 1. My laptop is random freeze after i use for a while and only thing i can do is hard reset the laptop. 2. When i boot, after apple loading bar done, a black screen take about 5-10second before login screen appear. 3. Sleep seemly doesn't working, screen is off but hardware is still running. (I have tested, it lost about 45% percent for 1 hour sleeping, i have changed hibernatemode to 3 and 0 but both result are same). Hi guys, new to the forum and opencore, been trying to install Big Sur 11.6 using Opencore 0.7.4 for the past week or so and cannot figure out what I am doing wrong, I just keep getting stuck at [PCI configuration begin] I’ve looked through the guides but cannot figure out, (I’ve tried npci=0x2000 and npci=0x3000 - but no change) some help would be greatly appreciated. It’s an HP Z840, with the following basic specs: CPU: Intel Xeon Processor E5-2643 v3 Chipset: C612 Haswell EP GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT Network: Intel I210 Audio: Realtek ALC221 I also tried the Monterey beta, but same result. I’ve attached the config.plist, DSDT dump, the aida64 system report file, the error logs and screenshot of the EFI folder structure. I’ve tried some of the EFI files on the forum but no luck, If someone could take a look at my files if it’s something I’ve missed or doing wrong. Thanks in advance, Bob. config.plist.zip dsdt.dat.zip Error logs.zip EFI folder.png.zip System Report.htm.zip

I am trying to install Big Sur 11.2 using the installer for AMD 2700x Asus b450 but my keyboard was not registering for me to be able to move cursor to install. I have used the EFI folder from Olarila since the original would give me kernel panic. My keyboard is a US 102 keyboard. Any idea how I can get the installer to work with my keyboard?

Hi, there! I have some problems with my opencore efi as it is not detecting me on mac: -Trackpad (no clicks, and it doesn't move the pointer either). -Trackpoint -Brightness keys are not working -The fingerprint reader does not work either I use the kext of voodops2, but only works the keyboard, the kext of the brightness keys but also does not work. It is not very relevant but it would be interesting to work the fingerprint reader. I would appreciate your support, have a nice day.

Managed to successfully install Macos Big Sur Beta 3 in my compact Cooler Master Elite 120 PC box, even if Ivy Bridge CPU is not officially supported by Apple. Specs: CPU: Ivy Bridge i5-3470 GPU: Nvidia GT 740 2gb Ram: 8gb (2x4) DDR3 1600ghz Mobo: Asrock H61M Mini ITX Storage: 120gb Proton SSD Kexts: FakeSMC, Lilu, AppleALC, GenericUSBXHCI, RealtekRTL8111, USBInjectAll, WhateverGreen. I previously had successfully installed Catalina in this PC. I restored a Big Sur BETA 1 dmg image on an 120gb SSD and used my Catalina EFI, with some modifications, mainly updating all my Kexts to the latest/dev ones, updating OpenCore to 0.6.0 and changing the SMBios to iMacPro1,1.I booted successfully to Big Sur Beta1 and then I updated to Beta3 without any problem. What works: Sound, GPU acceleration, USB ports, Ethernet, CD Player, sleep, boot, shutdown. The Motherboard does not have BT or wifi so I cannot test. Even though I used for some time a USB dongle of Archer together with Chris1111 wireless usb adapter software (updated for Big Sur) and it was working fine. Guides I used: From Dortania and dmg image from Olarila Efi folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1OsdCX8S25QkYLm6gfvAZftq63L5PmrKu?usp=sharing

In the last year when I had macOS Catalina 10.15.7 I used make my disk write reading.app to allow write access on Root Volume / System Volume. But after I updated to macOS Big Sur 11.5 I no longer able to move kexts or write or make any edits on Root Volume / System Volume, It gives me an error which says that APFS Volume couldn't be mounted for write access. Any solution for this?
