Maybe the install doesn't finish correctly? create USB drive to install macos add appropriate /EFI files to USB drive boot from USB drive and install macos to osx-monterey (at around 12 minutes to go, it quits and reboots) boot from target drive (osx-monterey) "macOS Update Assistant" prompts "A required firmware update could not be installed." which just press "OK" "macOS Update Assistant" prompts "Select the system you want to use to start up your computer" Here At the last step, I expect to see my target drive, osx-monterey, but it's not there. Just an empty list. So, the question is, did the install fail? Is this what I should expect to see when the install is done? - rt

I got back my RX 580 so I want to go to Monterey (and afterwards move to MacPro7,1 in order to upgrade further, but this will have to wait I guess) So I upgraded : OC 8.1 All kexts and drivers. Porém o repouso não funciona fechando a tampa do Notebook, porque a implementação do Lid (Tampa) é bem problemática. ➜ Leitor de Cartão: Até hoje não consegui fazê-lo funcionar. ➜ iMessage/Facetime: Funciona normalmente, mas é recomendado utilizar uma conta do iCloud que já é/foi utilizada em um aparelho original da Apple (iPhone, Macbook, etc), pois assim a chance da Apple validar é maior. ➜ Inicialização (Boot): O Ideapad 3i possui um problema com Hackintosh: ficar reiniciando várias vezes seguidas assim que você liga o Notebook. Não consegui resolver isso, mas um método que ameniza o problema é: Assim que ligar o Notebook, pressione o F12 várias vezes e selecione o OpenCore; o notebook vai reiniciar, e aí você vai no F12 novamente e seleciona o OpenCore novamente; dessa vez ele inicializa normal. ─ 📊 REPORT DE PERFORMANCE ────────────── Fiz testes através da utilização de Softwares como MainStage, Adobe Photoshop, entre outros, para testar a utilização de CPU/GPU e avaliar a estabilidade no uso "real". Utilizei do MacOS 10.13 até o 10.14 no dia-a-dia para buscar possíveis problemas e sentir o funcionamento. Fiz benchmarks com o Geekbench 5 e 6, Cinebench R23 e Novabench. Até o momento, todas as versões possuem funcionalidade total, e a Performance e Estabilidade está muito similar desde o Catalina até o Sonoma. Porém as versões Catalina, Big Sur e Monterey rodam com um pouco mais de fluidez e velocidade pois utilizam menos recursos gerais comparado com o Ventura e Sonoma. ─ 🔑 NÚMERO SERIAL ─────────────────── É necessário adicionar um Serial na sua EFI para que serviços como iMessage/iCloud funcionem. Hi, I have changed the SMBios to iMacPro1,1, but the screen goes black. However, during installation and at the first boot, everything was excellent and friendly, but when I rebooted, the apple logo and the loading bar was loading and then the screen went black. I have installed Monterey from the beginning 3x times just because had a sound problem(Stupid idea) I had to make changes in the EFI. The 3-time install is now, we speak, has no changes and is not bootable. I also fixed the ACPI thing... Currently, the system works with -amd_no_dgpu_accel boot arg Please any Help? Hi, i had bugs on my system : msi z170 + i7 skylake 6700 + rx 5500xt it's a dual boot machine using opencore bootloader -> monterey+ windows 10 i dont know what i did or maybe installed crap software, but in the end i erased my disks. I now have a fresh monterey + windows on 2 separate drives. It boots ok using your EFI folder including your SSDT-OLARILA.aml (skylake) I am wondering if i need dsdt.aml or is it useless ? Uma vez que conecto o cabo do meu LG - 29P (29UM69G) Ultrawide, no meu Acer ele dá uma piscada rápida, mas não aparece imagem no monitor que está plugado via HDMI, apenas na própria tela do notebook.
