Hi guys! I'm a new member of this community and trying to get my first installation of OSX.

My motherboard is an Asrock P45DE (http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=P45DE) and I see there is not an available DSDT or patch for it.

There is a DSDT patch for Asrock P43DE which is basically the same mobo (http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=P43DE), that comes with the P43 chipset which is almost identical to the P45.

The BIOS of the two motherboards seem to be nearly identical from what I have found on the net.

I have extracted the P45DE latest BIOS (1.60) aml from the DSDT Editor and also have found the P43DE latest BIOS (1.70) aml here: http://www.tonycrapx86.com/dsdt/4125-dsdt-database-non-gigabyte-submission-thread-16.html.

I have put the aml (and a txt version of them) files in the attachment along with the P43DE patch (http://Olarila.com/Packs/ASRock/P43DE.txt).

The text diff for convenience is here: http://diffchecker.com/C0tszD75 (left: P45DE, right: P43DE).

Do you think it is ok to just patch my aml with the one from P43DE or should I do custom patches? Could you please help me to make one for my mobo?

I think that DSDT method is the way to get worked for unsupported hardwares so every hardware that isn't supported by Apple can use this method

You are wrong, DSDT can't work miracles. If your hardware is unsupported, it won't work no matter how much you patch the DSDT.

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to get my laptop Lenovo g580(20157), i5, Intel HM76 run hackintosh.

I Installed using iatkos ml2

- Sleep/wake does not work.

- I think the fan speed is not also proper, louder than usual.

- USB 3.0 ports don't work

- i got the graphics drivers to work from http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/284560-guide-ml-install-guide-for-lenovo-g580/, but the VGA port does not work, i did not test hdmi, but i don't use hdmi output as much.

Hi, after 2-3 days of a working Lion system with my Asrock P45DE, I think the patched DSDT from the P43DE works fine. The system is really stable, speedstep works, monitoring is ok, all that should work are ok.

The only thing not working yet but does not bother me at all is waking up from sleep, which may be a graphics card problem after all.

Thank you guys, you may add the P45DE mobo to your patch list with the same P43DE patch.

u dsdt is already edited...

is not a clean dsdt...

good hack

Yes it was edited to make my laptop sleeps and it can sleep now when I click Sleep on the pop up menu. But when lid close it cannot.

I edit it again like this

Device (LID)
       {
           Name (_HID, EisaId ("PNP0C0D"))
           Name (LIDS, One)
           Method (_LID, 0, NotSerialized)
           {
               Store (^^PCI0.LPCB.EC0.CTMP, LIDS)
               XOr (LIDS, One, Local0)
               If (Local0)
               {
                   Notify (SLPB, 0x80)
               }
               Return (LIDS)

It really sleeps on lid close but does not wake on lid open. I wake it up by pressing any keys but it immediately sleeps again.

What should I do?

hello

try the several options on sleep, sleep is a pain in the ass , for several pc and note

“sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0″ = suspend to RAM only (default on desktops)

“sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 1″ = suspend to disk only

“sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 3″ = suspend to disk + RAM (default on laptops)

To see your current hibernatemode: “pmset -g | grep hibernatemode”.

problems maybe with graphics, usb, lan

and sleep is one way for a machine, is not for all

several hack don't sleep well.. insomnia...

mine don't sleep to, refrasing it sleep, wake black screen

Hey everyone.

I'm having problems with my USB ports working. My laptop has 3 but the ones that work switch after reboot. Sometimes the 2 on the left side work when the 1 on the right doesn't and vise-versa. I was wondering if this could be fixed with a DSDT patch? Also when i put the computer to sleep it goes to a white screen with nothing but the cursor showing and i can still here my fan running. So if it's possible to tackle both of these problems with one patch i would really appreciate it.

Model: HP Pavilion g6-1b79dx

Mobo: HP 1693

BIOS: Insyde F.36

Thanks in advance
