Hi all, I stuck on Big Sur until now cause I was using an Nvidia card. I got back my RX 580 so I want to go to Monterey (and afterwards move to MacPro7,1 in order to upgrade further, but this will have to wait I guess) So I upgraded : OC 8.1 All kexts and drivers. All working fine with Big Sur latest version I downloaded Monterey 12.4 from the App Store and started the upgrade. Kernel Panic is immediate. First of all a great thanks to @MaLd0n for all the help that he gave me by editing my DSDT. This guide is for those who are using X79 Motherboard and are 1. unable to install mac 2. Unable to boot if they enable HYPERTHREADING in thie bios. 3. Having random reboots while booting. 4. Powermanagement Issue. You can use this EFI for Mac OS Monterey or Big Sur Installation: 1. Download the EFI Folder given in this guide and do the necessary changes mentioned in the Changes to the Config File section given below. 2. I am not going to cover how to install Mac. For that you will get lots of guides online. 3. I am Just going to give you my EFI folder. Use it and it will boot and install without any issue. 4. This EFI will work for both Dual CPU and Single CPU Board. You need to do the following after downloading the EFI. Changes to the Config File 1. Please add you own Platform Info 2. Also please add your UTBMap.kext file created using USBToolbox from windows (Use the windows.exe from from there). Also add USBToolBox.kext . OR If you don't want to do USB Mapping then just use the following USBMap.kext and it should work fine. I have added most of the USB ID's in the kext so it should work fine for most of the people. USBMap.kext.zip 3. SSDT-X79 included in the EFI folder already has everything needed so please don't change any settings in config. It will go smoothly. 4. Reboot Enjoy....!!! Note: For some motherboard using CpuTSCSync.kext causes Kernel Panic, Solution: Use VoodooTSCSync.kext instead Bios Settings: 1. If you still have issue with USB while using my EFI then go into the Bios and Disable EHCI and XHCI Handoff or vice versa. For PowerManagement do the following: Create SSDT-PMC, SSDT-PLUG from windows using SSDTTime.exe Create SSDT-PM using ssdtprgen method So you should have SSDT-PM, SSDT-PMC, SSDT-PLUG(Optional) and SSDT-X9 in ACPI. Use of SSDT-UNC is optional as its already included in the SSDT-X79. For Sandy Bridge CPU please enable 2 options in the Kernel > Patch Section 751AB9 to EB13B9 3E7539 to 3E9090 The entries are already added just enable it. OLD EFI Folder EFI GOOGLE DRIVE or EFIFORX79MOTHERBOARD.zip Bonus: Those who are using Huananzhi-X79 board can use the following patched DSDT which has all the necessary patches. Even the Audio patch so no need to use SSDT-HDEF.aml Huananzhi - X79 Deluxe Patched DSDT Troubleshooting: Multible Reboot: Some times it takes multiple reboots to get into the system. It gets stuck in the following then follow the below given solution. Solution: 1. Open your DSDT in Rehabman's MacIasl and remove SCK1, SCK2 and SCK3 2. Also remove unused Cores. For Eg. If your CPU has 12 threads then only keep the first 12 CPU Cores and delete the rest like this. It depends on how much threads your CPU has and accordingly remove the rest. As my CPU has only 12 threads I have only kept the first 12 and will be removing the rest that I have shown in the image below. 3. Save the file as DSDT.aml 4. Place this DSDT.aml in the ACPI Folder 5. Reboot. Now there will be no random reboots while rebooting.

I have managed to install bigsur in my 3930k and rampage iv formula, but I can't get cpu powermanagement. I don't know what else to try, it's stuck in 3200mhz use opencore 0.6.9 smbios macpro 6,1

Estou com um problema com meu X79 Estou tentando instalar o Catalina na minha X79 com Xeon E5-2620 V2, 16GB RAM, Video Radeon RX 550 4GB, estou usando o Clover disponibilizado aqui em downloads e também já baixei duas imagens aqui do forum uma do Torrent e outra pelo Mediafire. Gostaria de saber se alguém já teve esse erro e como posso resolver por favor?

Good evening! I'm trying to install Mojave in a Intel DX79SI (with latest bios v.0650), I7-3960X, 8Gb RAM DDR3 and PowerColor Vega 56. Before i get into installer, the verbose shows "Unsupported CPU" twice and "Unsupported PCH" one time... i don't know if it's a problem, since i'm able to reach the installer "normally". However, during installation screen, the aspect ratio somehow gets confused and i can't select language or even Install button. I can't upload my folder 'cause it's larger than 3mb. So, HERE's the google drive link. Please help me anyone! It's been 3 days trying to get this thing work on my pc!

Tô fechando com um cara aqui, e gostaria de saber isso! A placa de vídeo é uma GTX 470 e a placa mãe uma DX79SI da Intel. Esqueci de falar, o i7 3960X NÃO É IVY BRIDGE. Ele é da linha Sandy Bridge-E.

So i'm curently running Catalina on this PC. Here are the specs: CPU: Intel® Xeon® E5-2620 v2 - 6 cores 12 threads - 2.1Ghz - 2.4Ghz. GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 740 1GB (GK107-425-A2 Kepler platform). RAM: 16GB (4x4GB) 1066 Mhz ECC DDR3. Motherboard/Laptop Make and Model: Essenc X79G v1.3. Audio Codec: Azalia HD Audio / C600/X79 series chipset High Definition Audio Controller Ethernet Card: Realtek RTL8111. BT Card: CSR 4.0 Bluetooth USB card (Qualcomm/Cambridge Silicon Radio CSR8510). BIOS: X79G00E - Aptio Setup Utility Version 2.15.1236. NVME: ADATA Falcon 256GB. Now I want to install Big Sur...but I'm completely lost on how to configure OpenCore or Clover for my PC. Itried Dortania guide several times. And I always get stucked at "[EB|LOG:EXITBS:START]". Then I tried the Clover EFI you provide here for x79 and the result is almos the same, only this time I get stucked at the line of plus signs. It does not boots the BigSur installer nor the working Catalina installation. So I first I tried OpenCore, and got stuckd at "[EB|LOG:EXITBS:START]" Then I tried Clover from here, and got stucked at the plus sign line. Honestly, I don't know what else to do. I'm completely lost. I don't even remember how many times I tried things I found on the web...but seems that none ver tried to install Big Sur on a CPU like mine. I think the problem has to do with the SSDT...but I have no idea how to make one, and the technical documenttion is beyond my comprehension. I hope somone may have a clue. Thanks for reading!

Hi, i have managed to install Catalina from vanilla dmg to my ssd and i need somebody to help me fine tune my system with hackintool so it can work. Please notice that i dont have much idea what to do so i need detailed directions or propably someone to make all the files i need to put to my efi folder. my setup in general is intel xeon e5 2670v1 asrock x79 extreme6/gb 24gb ram ddr3 ssd thnak you in advance

Usava meu hackintosh mojave com o efi clover mas queria deixar ele mais limpo, resolvi mudar para o open core, fiz todo os processos, faço a substituição da pasta efi do trevo pela do Opencore mas na hora de reiniciar a maquina ela fica na imagem da bios, ou fica tudo preto.
