OS X Mavericks 10.9.5 bootable USB for Intel

Recommended Posts

I can't get it even to Clover (the USB sticks run fine on other PCs, but on this one it simply skips the drive.....

Tried booting from a bootmanager on USB stick (PLOP) however I get an error that the drive doesn't contain a valid boot sector signature ( i've tried 10.9 image, 10.9.5 and 10.10)

Try setting your BIOS to boot legacy instead of UEFI.

Hi

I also happen to get stuck while booting from chameleon, installed to the OS X partition.

I get stuck at the

iobluetoothhcicontroller completed

like many around :!:

But i have tried everything given in order to get it to work,

  • I moved the graphics kexts(even the bluetooth kexts)

  • I tried the safe mode,

  • i tried every switch for the boot ( -x -v -f GraphicsEnabler=No),

  • i even tried changing the chameleon revision to an older one (rev 2266)

  • Also installed the two FakeSMC and the null... kexts

But none of those seem to help  .

The problem here is, I CAN STILL boot from the installation USB and select the primary partition where OS X is installed. That way, it works! but I will have to have the USB with me at all times.! (Chameleon 2.2 rev 2266 is in the USB, that is why i tried a downgrade earlier in the OS)

also even though i can boot up with the help of the USB, i still can't get my ethernet, bluetooth, wireless or audio working.

 I wanna know if I can somehow make the bootloader and it's config as it is in the USB installation media.

Please help me out.. :/

I'm on an inspiron 15R (N5110) by Dell,

it has a GT 525M video card, core i5 2.5GHz processor.

Hi,

I have tried using the Olarila USB images for both, Yosemite and Mavericks but I get stuck before I reach the installer.

I've followed all the bios settings recommended.

The first problem that I had was getting stuck at PCI Configuration begin but I fixed that by booting with npcx=0x1000.

Now I'm stuck at "Still waiting for Root device"

Things I've tried and didn't work:

-Using -gux_defer_usb2 and -gux_no_idle flags but it didn't work.

-Enabling the USB Ownership in clover also did not work.

-Using only one Memory Stick

-Using maxmen=4096

Could anyone help me please? Attached is the error screen.

My system is:

Core i7-4790k

Asus z97-A

GTX 750 Ti

16gb RAM

Thanks!

I'm trying to use Transmac to remove the kext from my USB but Transmac cannot see my USB. I tried it on two different USB and it still cannot see the Install USB in Windows 7. Any solutions to this?

**EDIT**

Okay I was able to get Transmac to read the install USB but I can't find the EFI/Clover folder :(

This is the Olarila bootable USB image.

Use the EFI shell.

fs0:
cd EFI\CLOVER\kexts\10.10
rm -r GenericUSBXHCI.kext

when the clover tried to proceed to installer i got this error nanoseconds 121212183311......

please if you wouldn't mind could you help me to get away from this challenge, this have kept me from learning how to develop OS App for two good months now.thank for your help.

Okay, I apologize ahead of time as I'm betting this has been answered before, but I am a complete noob when it comes to anything hackintosh related. I have usually had either a Mac or a PC and this is my first system build trying to run both off the same machine. I am able to boot from the USB drive into Clover, but when I select to Boot the Mac OSX from the USB to install I get a terminal screen (or DOS like screen) that starts rattling through a bunch of language I don't understand, shows a few errors, and then I get a large white circle with a line through it in the middle of the page before the text on the screen all starts to merge together. I am completely lost as to what to do and how to install the OSX onto the secondary HDD I have installed in the computer.

Current Computer specs from Everest:

Intel® Core i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz

ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO Motherboard

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti (2048 MB)

WDC WD10EZEX-00BN5A0 (931 GB) x2 (one for Windows 8.1 and the other hopefully for OS X)

16GB DDR3 1600 (8GBx2)
