OpenCore Lenovo Legion 5 i10750H 15imH015 reboots during install

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have Lenovo Legion 5 15imH015.

I am trying to install Big Sur but my installation stuck at constant reboot during the second phase of the install.

Phase 1: I picked the bootable USB from the selected drives, the laptop reboots around 12min. kind of normal

Phase 2: After i pick Install MacOS from the list of opencore menu, the unit reboots immediately. I tried multiple times but no success.

Please check the video as screenshot are impossible to achieve.

Hi @MaLd0n,

Thank you for your quick reply and for the this great forum.

Here is the laptop info:

Lenovo Legion 5

  • 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10750H Processor at 2.6GHz
  • Intel Wi-Fi 6 (2x2) + Bluetooth 5.0
  • 6GB NVIDIA GeForce® GTX 1660Ti Graphics
  • 15.6" Display with 144Hz Refresh Rate
  • 1TB 7200RPM Hard Drive + 512GB NVMe M.2 Solid State Drive

I setup SMBIOS as MacBookPro16,2

Windows is installed on 512gb NVMe.

I am able to boot to Catalina on 1TB HDD, but I have no trackpad, wifi, etc support.

With Big Sur, I am able to connect to WiFi during installation, so I prefer if i can get BS working.

Updated config file is attached.

try to check the following link, I use this configuration, and it works on lenovo legion 5, only the trackpad has not been fixed, someone has worked really hard to make this machine a nearly perfect Hackintosh, we are very thankful for their hard work

Thank you for the link.

I did not make any changes except verbose mode -v and I am receiving panic on IONVMeFamily.

Anything else I should try?

Also, In BIOS I have disabled Secure boot and Network boot.

Sorry for the late reply, sadly I have to work.

I removed the SSD, turned the legion 5 on and the system reboots just like in the video I posted earlier. I think its my EFI folder and Config file.

I am not sure what else I should try. Here is the structure of my folder:

EFI

______BOOT => BOOTx64.efi

______OC

_________(Folder) ACPI =>SSDT_NVMe-PCC.AML

_______________________SSDT-AWAC.aml

_______________________SSDT-EC.aml

_______________________SSDT-PLUG-DRTINIA.aml

_________(Folder) Bootstrap =>Bootstrap.efi

_________(File) Config.plist

_________(File) OpenCore.efi

_________(Folder) Drivers => HfsPlus.efi

_________(Folder) Kexts => AirportBrcmFixup.kext

_______________________VoodooHDA.kext

_______________________VoodooInput.kext

_______________________WhateverGreen.kext

__________(Folder) Resources (Audio, Fonts, Image and Label)

__________(Folder) Tools => OpenShell.efi

I appreciate any help or ideas.
