nowhere44444444 Posted May 13, 2020 Share Posted May 13, 2020 Hello, another question about 10.15.4, While investigating size of my Time Machine's backup with opensnoop, I noticed a lot of files from /var/db/uuidtext. The size of the directory is 150 M here and log stream --info --debug is sending so many messages This is a summary. You can notice a huge number of events in 3 days! Do you think there is something wrong? TIA! uuidtext % log stats --overview == archive ============================================================= size: 586 473 232 bytes 1 472 586 488 bytes (uncompressed) start: Fri May 8 15:46:02 2020 end: Tue May 12 23:43:50 2020 statedump: 1 906 events: [ total log trace signpost loss ] [ 30 568 739 18 955 135 7 9 866 071 9 ] activity: [ create transition action ] [ 1 745 476 0 20 ] log messages: [ default info debug error fault ] [ 28 199 352 349 807 15 886 214 148 42 020 ] ttl: [ 1day 3days 7days 14days 30days ] [ 50 1 958 008 304 459 772 732 34 175 ] processes: [ events (%total), decomp. bytes (%total), image UUID, image ] [ 3 522 689 ( 11.5%), 257 193 345 ( 17.5%), C1829584-963C-3D17-A1DB-4319B0CFD2C5, deleted ] [ 3 061 315 ( 10.0%), 232 278 846 ( 15.8%), 3A0BE96B-DAF7-3B9A-9263-5B16E63D82B3, mDNSResponder ] [ 9 592 889 ( 31.4%), 192 574 848 ( 13.1%), E6556418-E56B-3DF0-A816-752A9E8ABD8D, WindowServer ] [ 761 333 ( 2.5%), 105 590 188 ( 7.2%), 218322B0-EFCB-3FF1-8213-B68A62145EE9, Mail ] [ 4 375 220 ( 14.3%), 71 258 501 ( 4.8%), 718D48FE-3E36-31B2-9541-FB5372188C03, diskarbitrationd ] senders: [ events (%total), decomp. bytes (%total), image UUID, image ] [ 3 457 573 ( 11.3%), 252 256 049 ( 17.1%), C1829584-963C-3D17-A1DB-4319B0CFD2C5, deleted ] [ 3 061 113 ( 10.0%), 232 261 488 ( 15.8%), 3A0BE96B-DAF7-3B9A-9263-5B16E63D82B3, mDNSResponder ] [ 9 578 793 ( 31.3%), 191 684 801 ( 13.0%), C6AF6A79-C673-3B9E-95E0-993F43AE7EED, SkyLight ] [ 518 176 ( 1.7%), 77 967 915 ( 5.3%), 16832D05-5F0E-35C3-A261-F24DD53EFF73, IMAP ] [ 4 375 171 ( 14.3%), 71 257 434 ( 4.8%), 718D48FE-3E36-31B2-9541-FB5372188C03, diskarbitrationd ] Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
