Problem with ASUS RX580 8Gb Graphics Card on Catalina

Good morning people,

 

I was able to install Catalina on a machine with Dualboot (on 2 SSD M.2, one for each W10 and Catalina). The problem is that Catalina does not open a connected video card. I can't do any precise tricks to remove the power cables and start with the Bios by putting exclusive iGPU, hence. I can only boot from the USB stick. Copy an EFI to the SSD for MacOS. Do you know how to get around this?

Ok Thank you,

Now I saw that the text I sent is unintelligible lol sorry.

 

Changed to CSM disable, but got no result (It was on becaouse of the Windows Boot Manager).

 

I can really boot into Catalina with the SSD EFI, but only IF the GPU (Rx 580) is turned off (no power cables or disabled on BIOS) and I use de iGPU (HD graphics).

If I try all the hardware online, the login crashes on the black apple screen with ++++++++.

I think I should change the FAKE ID to a correct one for ASUS RX 580 8Gb, but I couldn´t find it.

I dont know wich parameters to arrange on the config.plist.

 

I hope you could help me.

Eu consegui bootar agora com o config 3 da minha pasta EFI, colocando na BIOS como iGPU como preferencial. Deu uma baita travada no login mas depois foi.

Opa,

Deu certo de abrir apenas com a EFI no pendrive. Ele mostra uns erros de ACPI e fica rodando as ventoinhas no máximo, depois vai.

Mas não tá com aceleração 3D e não funciona se eu copiar a EFI para o SSD.

 

Consegui colocar mais umas Kext e ele abriu normal direto com aceleração de Hardware. Mas depois de 2min travou e reiniciou =/

 

Ai ai... tenso 😆

Então, eu consegui abrir com essa pasta 300. Até que deu certo.

Mas não sei pq ele trava se eu clicar no "about this mac".

Porque será ?

De resto parece estar funcionando razoavelmente.

Kra, olha que doido.

Ontem de noite eu liguei, deu TUDO certo, aceleração, login, mensagens, 2 telas, USB. Etc.

Dai eu rodei um Brenchmark no geekbench4 deu 38k. Eu fiquei empolgado e resolvi instalar o Paragon NTFS for mac, pra eu poder acessar os HDs do Windows.

Depois que eu instalei pifou tudo completamente. Não abre mais pelo pendrive nem pelo SSD.  Aparece um sinal de Proibido. Tentei outras EFI, até que depois de desligar e ligar várias vezes parou nessa tela. Eu não sei se é a porcaria do NVRAM ou a instalação corrompeu algo.

Ferrou...Eu estou aguardando chegar a placa de Wi-Fi (fenvi2000 - rastreio LB013732874HK) pra fazer o patch correto por inteiro uma vez só... mas ela tá no estado de São Paulo tem uns 3 dias e nada.... espero que chegue hoje.

Mas eu queria ir ajeitando o que da, antes, né.

Por exemplo, você acha que compensa desbloquear o NVRAM com aquela manobra de EFI da Bios que pastrychef postou em outro fórum?
Se valesse a pena eu já iria adiantando isso. Mas na real eu fiquei com medo de estragar o Windows10. Não sei se compensa só usar o emulador mesmo do clover.

Sim.
Estava alguma coisa corrompida mesmo, provavelmente por causa do Paragon NTFS. Tive que reinstalar o Catalina.
Coloquei a Pasta Clover Olarila serie 300 no pendrive, dei boot nela, reinstalei o MacOS, e voltou ao normal.
Agora vou esperar a placa de Wifi pra terminar o setup.

Obrigado aos 2 (MaLd0n e ACPIter) pela ajuda até o momento.

Quando chegar a placa Fenvi eu volto aqui pra gente fazer o DSDT.
