Razer Blade Stealth Black screen with backlight on wake

Can anyone help me troubleshoot this issue? My RBS 2019 works with almost 100% functionality except for 2 issues:




1. Sleep - When I put the laptop to sleep by either selecting sleep under the apple menu or closing the lid:

* Keyboard backllight remains on

* I can hear the fans spin 

* Screen is black with no Backlight

If I try to wake the machine up by pressing on buttons on clicking the trackpad the screen's backlight turns on but the screen itself is blank. I Thuhave also tried shining a torch on the screen after wake and can't see anything.




2. Display through HDMI - I have a USB C dongle with an HDMI port that works well with a real macbook and on the RBS Windows Partition. If I plug it into the left USB C port (non thunderbolt) The HDMI display does not work but the dongle works like a hub (usb ports and power delivery work) if I plug it into the right USB C port (thunderbolt 3) The laptop restarts. If I leave it plugged in during restart I get no functionality on the dongle and the laptop restarts again if I pull the dongle out.




Problem 1 is my priority - Sleep is the only thing I need to get to work to make the laptop my daily driver, problem 2 is just a nice to have but I can do without it.




Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Still same black screen with backlight when waking from sleep. I noticed that brightness is a lot brighter but other than that it booted up fine.

[ref]nonits[/ref], ur system is not clean, have kexts in system folders like l/e or s/l/e, u have all necessary kexts into clover/kexts/other, don't need use kexts in system folder

okay, I don't remember putting any kext in S/L/E the kexts in Clover/kexts/other are there just so I have a backup while im experimenting trying to solve this. should I remove all kexts I put in S/L/E? would that solve the sleep issue?

hi again! I did a fresh install of Catalina (I couldn't reinstall Mojave) and this time I did not put any kexts in the system. The issue is still the same though When I wake up from sleep I only get a backlit screen but its blank. my new send_me is linked below:

I only get basic functionality on my trackpad now too. I lost the touchpad preferences.

still the same sleep issue. touchpad prefpane is back and all gestures are working. Brightness is now very bright as well

additional detail I notice is that only the last 4 bars work for brightness with the lowest being totally dark.

thats weird I opened the send_me zip and it shows an ACPI folder with a bunch of stuff in it. thats not the one in my EFI. The one I have matches the Clover folder in the send_me

I deleted all the other EFI backups on the EFI partition and all files in the desktop (except run_me) rebooted and re ran run_me with the below results:

The only change I made is added "recovery" in gui so I dont see the recovery drive and set catalina as the clover theme

out of curiosity I also tried plugging the laptop into the usbc dongle I have thats connected to an hdmi.

The left port (non tb3) works except for HDMI (not detected) the right port (tb3) caused a restart when I plugged the dongle in and went straight to a kernel panic after restart. heres what the report said:

By the way I have been trying other device ids and found that 9B3E0000 plus lilucpu=10 makes the brightness keys work perfectly. heres a send_me using that new device id:
