Kernel panic since yesterday

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have been running my hackintosh without any problem since 2 weeks ago, however since yesterday the computer has a lot of kernel panic. (Please disregard the kernel panic on the 5th, it's graphic card related and I have bought a new card).

Can you please help me with the kernel panic? I just want my computer to be stable as before.

Thanks!

use correct smbios for coffeelake it is imac 18,3 an radeondeinit is not needed fb name not needed remove apfs.efi as you have apfsdriverloader an osxaptiofix not needed as you have aptiomemoryfix

you might be better of using this clover https://Olarila.com/files/Clover.Folder/CLOVER.SERIES.100.200.300.zip an setting smbios for imac 18,3

If you are using the GTX 1060, don't use Mojave.

Go back to High Sierra

Thanks, I actually switched to Rx570 when upgrading to Mojave.

Thanks erroruser! I have had shutdown kernel panic, so I'm trying to install aptiomemoryfix for that. Looks like it's the problem. Hopefully there won't be anymore kernel panic.

If I change SMbios to imac18,3, do I need to generate new serial number and logout/login to icloud again?

you can use the same serial you have but i would suggest testing the clover folder as it has the proper drivers an kexts that are needed an see if that help also as its best for Olarila images

Hi erroruser,

I followed your instructions, even install Mojave complete new but still get kernel panic.

Here's the send me file:

I tried to use your clover folder but it couldn't get past the boot screen so I have to switch to my old clover. I changed to iMac 18,3 and remove everything you mentioned.

Do you fake with hacking tool or how do you fake it?

I think it's related to Coffelake IGPU like Madl0n said

if so im wondering now that maybe that your gpu setttings are not correct in the bios for a reference you can have a look at mine to test if your using high sierra with the web drivers you have to have nvidiaweb selected in the system parameters an i do not believe that in the acpi section under the drop OEM_DSM needs to be selected

Thanks, even though I did everything you guys mentioned here, it wont work. The computer refuse to wake up from sleep.

As a last ditch I load my old config with Mac mini from the backup and everything works right away.

If I decide to use Mac mini 8,1, do I have to change anything regarding DSDT?

I don’t believe it’s bios setting because the computer has no problem under HS with Nvidia card, and no problem either with Mojave + Rx570. I believe the issue lies with IGPU not compatible with iMac 18,3. I changed everything as Madl0n suggest but it’s still can’t wake up.

No, I have Sapphire Nitro+, I think they should be ok. I have the same issue with the HIS Rx470, so I think it's not related to the card

Edit: I see that my profile still has my old card 1060. I have updated the Rx570

The kernel panic started this afternoon again, coincidentally after I upgrade to 10.14.3 Supplementary update.

I’ll reinstall 10.14.3 Olarila and see if it happens again.

I can just install it to the current disk right? No need to fully wipe it?

Edit: looks like real Mac is also having issue
