akastaten Posted August 8, 2018 Share Posted August 8, 2018 Hi guys, I have finished my first build. I have built it specifically for FCPX and went for a Gigabyte RX580 GPU. It seems to be working OOB and comes up in about this Mac, however, I did the bruceX test and rather than a time of 10-20secs, mine came out at 1min20. Why is this so slow? I am using a Samsung EVO SSD with read/write speeds showing 300-400mbps and the Blackmagic test says the disk speeds should handle 4k 50p raw cinema footage. Is there anyway of checking if the GPU is working? I have a project on a FCPX timeline and its 12mins long and still hasn't finished rendering even after 45mins... surely this can't be the what the great rx580 8gb card does???
