Shutdown Fix: Mac restarting on shutdown

Recommended Posts

Hi, my computer restarts when I click shutdown.

I originally used the coffee lake efi folder from https://www.olarila.com/topic/5676-folders-for-all-chipsets-clover-and-opencore/ and the shutdown works perfect.

I made changes to fix usb3, wifi, bluetooth, icloud etc. Everything is working fine but the shutdown restarts.  I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm new at this. Thanks for your help.

I also tried the files from this thread but they did not work for me:

Yes, I reset the BIOS to default settings with CSM disabled and only the disk drive shutsdown. Everything else stays on: CPU cooler is on, Case fans are on, LED lights are on.

Edit: I found this https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Post-Install/usb/misc/shutdown.html

but I'm not sure how to do this.
