Old Hackintosh, Switching Graphics Card

Recommended Posts

Hey, I hope you guys can help me. I have a pretty old hackintosh system.

Motherboard: Asrock X79 Extreme 6
CPU: Intel i7 8 Core
RAM: DDR3 64GB
Graphics card: msi n770 tf 2gd5/oc

I think it’s a 2013/15 build running OSX Sierra.
My graphics card gave up on me yesterday, and I need my hackintosh for work. I found an old graphics card GTx 260+ n1 Nvidia and i tried using my system with it. Naturally it didn’t boot up, I get past the olarila.com boot screen, after that the Apple logo comes up and then I get an error message. I have an older Mac book and I can connect my hard drive to that to edit any file necessary. What do I need the do, to get my system up and running again?

Thanks in advance!
