UEFI Drive Missing From BIOS Bootable Option

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I finally managed to install Olarila Catelina 10.15.7 on my PC hardware which is:
- Gigabyte Z370M D3H
- Intel I5 8400
- Intel U630 Graphics (internal)

I got most of the kinks fixed except this remaining one: at some point in time, my HDD which was formatted to APFS, GUID partitioning disappeared from my Bios's list of bootable options. Since that was the only HDD installed, the only remaining drive in the list of bootable options is my USB stick where the Olarila image is installed.

With my USB stick inserted, clover is displayed and if I select the Catelina volume in the HDD, everything works.

If I try to boot without the USB stick, my BIOS setup screen is invoked.

When running clover configurator after a successful boot with the USB stick inserted, I am able to see and mount the EFI partition in the HDD.

I thought that maybe I should try to install the Clover bootloader into the HDD, so I downloaded the latest version (v2_5k r5070), but when I tried to install it, it said that the version was not compatible with the OS currently installed in the HDD.

Any ideas? I would really like to be able to boot without the USB inserted.

Thanks in advance for any suggestion.
