Metalcored00d
Hi everyone Since two weeks I'm the proud owner of the HP envy 14 2030eb. It's the belgian version. Here are the specs: * Intel Core i7 - 2630QM (@ 2Ghz) * Intel HD 3000 * 8GB DDR3 RAM * AMD Radeon HD 6630M, 1GB RAM * HD Webcam (1280 x 800p) * 2 x USB 2.0, 1 x USB 3.0 I've managed to install OS X 10.7.4 on it. However, the only things that work are: Sound - keyboard & trackpad - HD3000 graphics - 64bit mode (with a patched mach_kernel) What's not working; * AMD Radeon --> not a problem since the HD3000 works ootb * USB ports --> big problem * SD-card reader * Webcam --> since USB doesn't work... * brightness control I realized that the only way to get these things to work properly might be through a DSDT. However, I don't really know anything about that. Is there anyone who might help me with the compilation of a proper DSDT file for this laptop? Thanks in advance Metalcored00d. Metalcored00d
Hi everyone Thanks to Cassio's help regarding the DSDT, I managed to compile a working one =). I now have a 64bit system with my webcam, usb 2.0 ports, sound, bluetooth! I also installed USB 3.0 but that still causes the system to freeze once I insert a dongle. I'm already glad I got so far =)

Metalcored00d
hi, would u mind sharing the dsdt file, i've been stuck on the hdd for quite some time, n would like to try this again, thanks in advanced  No problem =) I'll attach my Extra folder and the few kexts I had to use to get it up and running This is the same for both 10.7.4 as for 10.8, which I'm running now. The only difference is that in 10.8, as a bootflag you need "cpus=1 & busratio=xx" until there's a modified mach_kernel with a lapic fix. Installed 10.8 with the MyHack tool . Good luck!
