  1. Hi MaLdOn 1# Can you help me with my CPU speed ? It's always at 2.40Ghz, but it can do 3.20Ghz. I think this relates to NullCPUPowerManagement.kext, am I right ? What I have read from forums, I should remove this kext and replace it with "Apple-something".kext and patch my SSDT with Rehabs script "ssdtPWRGen-something" but I don't fully understand it. I know that it supports my double CPU's (2 x E5-2695v2). Ivy Bridge.cfg 'E5-2695 v2',115,1200,2400,3200,12,24 Can you help me and patch my current SSDT ? Please ? I will attach my current EFI.zip and RunMe.zip links to TinyUpload. I had some help (new EFI) from other Z820 users in InsanelyMac forum, where you are also (noticed) - but you are my First Helper & Mentor 2# I have downloaded Rehabs FakeSMC and Sensors, and HWmonitor (latest 2018-0915). It works, kind of, but it shows only 8 Cores ? Should it show more ? I attached screenshot photo from HWMonitor. Should it be configured more from somewhere ? I have that VooDooKext, that you edited for me (Value 47 -> 24 C / 48 T) 3# My USB's should work now, as USB2.0 and USB3.0 (XCHI now for USB3.0 found) - haven't tested the "speed" yet. But when I have something in front 1 x USB2.0 (now M$ wireless KB & Mouse dongle), and I connect any USB Pen drive (stick, (any brand or size) to any front USB3.0 ports, my mouse acts weird - really hard to use or point anything, bad response and moves in big leaps. IF I pull USB Pen drive away the mouse starts to work normally immediately. Same thing if I connect anything to back 2 x USB3.0, as I have connected Bluetooth dongle to one of four USB2.0 ports in the back. Is this something IRQ related or something ? Can you help me MaLdOn, please ? #1 would be Super #2 nice extra add (for #1? #3 ? Then my Hackintosh would finally be ready, I could start installing applications to it and start working with it. and then I could also make that Support Donation to you via Paypal as you have helped me on my first Hackintosh. Next one's will be more newer HW and all Intel based so I could just use your ready Images RunMe.Zip http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=08341878567422049565 EFI http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=09122080084172215212 HWmon screenshot http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=35174635586386551418
  2. MaLd0n, Yes, HP Z820 USB3 manufacturer is Texas, found "Texas Instruments USB 3.0 xHCI Controller" mention. Newer HP Z840 uses Intel So it's Ok that all are configured as Zero (USB2.0) and I need a some "usb.kext" to get them work Ok and then Apple Mojave Update will go Ok ? But is it Ok to use that "usbinjectall.kext" or not ? Have tried with it and without it, no change. Only problem that I have anymore is... -USB2.0/3.0 working "somehow", but some weird behavior -Mojave Update 2019-001 doesn't install Ok
  3. MaLd0n, so current configuration is Ok as All USB's are marked as Zero (=usb2.0). But the amount of "usb devices" doesn't match the amount of physical connectors ? And are my USB3.0 port's now working as USB2.0 and Lower Speed ? And this USB thing is now causing this Mojave Update failure ?
  4. MaLd0n, I opened DSDT.aml with MaciASL app, searched EH0 and found EH01 and EH02, plenty of USB's. They are all configured as ON, USB2 ( = 0xFF, Zero). I have no idea how to figure out which one is USB2 and which one is USB3, and which ones are Internal. The amount of USB's (in screenshot, all usb2) is not same as physical connectors in Z820. USB2.0: Front 1 Back 4 USB3.0: Front 2 Back 2 Internal: 6 x USB2.0 I'm confused and don't understand. USB2 should be Zero, and USB3 0x03. Am I missing some "USB3 Controller/Hub" ?? And now my Wireless (M$ Keyboard + Mouse) is in Front USB2.0 and mouse moves in big jumps (hard to operate). Something weird in USB's. Z820 worked perfectly in Windows 10 - but I don't want windows
  5. Sorry MaLd0n, I tried to follow your guide https://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=14040 But I did NOT see anything related to XHC/RHUB on my DSDT.aml like in Guide and Pictures ?? I tried with AND without that usbinjectall.kext - same thing, NO XHC / RHUB visible anywhere. I used MaciASL 1.5.6 and Hackingtools 2.8.6 (0286). Hackingtools shows something, but all USB2's and speed "Unknown" (took a picture, will attach via tiny upload). The HP Z820 documentation says: Front: 1 x USB2.0 2 x USB3.0 Back: 4 x USB2.0 2 x USB3.0 Internal: 6 x USB2.0 Headers Have no idea how to find them AND patch them. Also, whitch port is 2.0 or 3.0 - how to identify from "code" ? Added in 9 minutes 20 seconds: Screenshot about USB's http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=78189660756818883200
  6. MaLd0n, Thx again! You were faster than me, new DSDT again. -Removed your previous DSDT file from /patched -Replaced by your latest DSDT -Removed usbinjectall.kext from /other -Rebooted, Logged In, Tried Mojave Update... -Update starts, can see Apple logo, text "Installing Software Update", progress bar doesn't seem to go much further than with previous DSDT (maybe 1-2mm ?). -Stays a little bit longer in this view before rebooting than with the previous version + when moving mouse, pointer was visible in window. -Booted automatically, Logged In manually, Software Update window opens in UI - notification about same Update. -Update failed... Added in 1 minute 39 seconds: Latest RunMe-SendMe zip here: http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=05127398008449018575
  7. Thx MaLd0n, I will read the topic in the evening and try do (& learn). Let's see if Noob will success ?
  8. MaLd0n, you are The Man ! Copied DSDT to clover/acpi/pacthed and left the Audio inject value to last tested one - 28. Rebooted. Audio Working !! Headphones (front) - OK Line out (back) - OK Bluetooth speaker tower - OK AirPlay to my Home Theater - OK I still see some errors in Boot verbose list - they go too fast to read, at least there was something about wrong chip or "something" error. I will now try if the 2019 - 001 update for Mojave downloads and installs successfully... Meaning no notification about the same update again and again... If not, I will take again this Run_Me and send you the zip for analysing.... Thanks again for your valuable help, would not have managed with my first Hackintosh without you, you are The Guru ! Added in 18 minutes 25 seconds: Ok, Mojave Security Update 2019-001 10.14.6 1,55GB installation fail. -Downloads Ok, Starts to Install - Apple logo, text "Installing Software Update", progress bar going about 1/10 and suddenly Reboots (did not finish the progress bar to the end). -Logging in, Software Update window opens in UI - notification about same Update Added link to Tinyload, latest RunMe-SendMe.zip http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=35985604023191682782 Is this enough or do you need the Boot Verbose list (errors seen)? How can I take that to Log file ?
  9. Hi, Thx MaLd0n. 1# So I should put your DSDT.aml file into EFI/Clover/"SOMEWHERE" ?? and do something (commands or run app ?). 2# I also found some guide how to Extract DSDT (Clover & F4) and then I disassemble ACPI files. Managed to do that (somehow ). Took copy+paste from Terminal prompt and dropped it to Texteditor - uploaded it to Tiny. http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=53444634898874948571 3# I also zipped the current EFI with those "disassemble ACPI files". Haven't done any "patching" yet - don't know what to patch or how... http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=51376704907861142574 4# I will now download your DSDT.aml file and wait more instructions for Noob what to do with it ? Once again, Big Thanks for Your help for Noob !!
  10. Hi MaLd0n, I looked your [Guide] Easy Audio Solution with AppleALC. Downloaded AppleALC/releases and looked ALC262 and Layers: Tried 7,11,12,13,28 - no help. Can see no sound device in System Preferences Downloaded DPCI Manager => it shows only Audio device and Sub device numbers (two left columns only), no Codec ID or Codec name ?? Manufactor page: Integrated Intel/Realtek HD ALC262 Audio" Downloaded Run_Me_app: Uploaded "Send me...zip" file to tiny upload.com http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=10457140304232689998 Last step on your guide: "Chipset 5, 6 and x79, create HDEF device with this patch, use MaciASL" goes over my head, Noob. What is MaciASL and where I can get it ? Guide how to use ?
  11. Thx MaLd0n. Uploaded the current EFI from Mojave boot SSD to tinyupload. http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=90041817864863852984
  12. Hmmmm, attachment adding not Ok. Says that my EFI.zip (6,5MB) is too large ?? And I already have posted zipped videos about 10MB. Is forum OK ? Yesterday evening had problems to access site - had a lot of Portuguese or Spanish (??) replies that Olarila site not working....
  13. Hi, after multiple try and fail scenarios and Googling stuff I finally managed to USB boot working, but failed to recognise SSD or HDU at all - unable to install. More Googling and found that I have add kexts for SAS controller (2 x Astek...) to get SSD & HDU. Added, SSD & HDU found, installed Mojave to SSD. Booted from USB, installed Clover to SSD, updated config.plist (by Googling stuff...). Finaly Mojave is booting from my SSD, via Clover boot page - have to every time choose "Boot from Mojave SSD" "About this Mac": Mojave 10.14.6 Mac Pro (late 2013) Processor "2 x 2,39 GHz 12-core Intel Xeon E5" RAM amount Ok "32GB 1866MHz DDR3" Startup Disk Ok "Mojave SSD" GPU Ok "Radeon RX580 8 GB" Double displays, Full HD - Ok. Front 1x USB2 - Ok Front 2x USB3.0 - Ok Wired LAN (back) - Ok Wired LAN (back, labeled ATM (??) - NOK Wifi, no Dongle - Ok (no need) Bluetooth (Ebay dongle, in back side usb2.0) - Ok (BT Kb and Mouse paired Ok) Back 4x USB2.0 - Ok Back 2x USB3.0 - Ok - but one of them has "issues" if something attached to USB2.0 in back sametime. BT KB&Mouse or Wireless KB&Mouse hangs totally (no response) or works weird/funny in big jumps on screen and with big delay... Back Firewire - No Idea Ok/Nok ? How to test?, at the moment - not needed. PROBLEMS: 1# NO AUDIO (front or Back connector (3.5mm jack)) ! - BIG problem !! Monitors don't support audio so no help even via DP/HDMI (Displays connected via 2 x DP). In Sierra and High Sierra people have managed to get it work via "old" Apple APLC kext and injected something like Audio 28. Tried that with old and new kext, no help. Googled more - Mojave has now something layers or something - didn't understood fully. Z820 has Intel/Realtek HD ALC262 audio. Googled with it, and found some ALC262 layers from Git - but they were full of code lines, didn't understand how to use ?? I'm a Noob... Updated latest Clover 5098 to Mojave SSD, tried with it - no help. Hackintool sw mentioned when Googling, downloaded and installed - but don't actually know how to use or what to do with it ? 2# Also in High Sierra forum post else where, they were talking about something like "Fix IRQ conflict allows work to firewire. Fix IRQ and add-HDEF device allows work to audio." after "DSDT extraction" & "DSDT patching". My ACPI origin & patched in EFI are empty. Don't know & understand fully this DSDT thing... System Preferences already informed about 2 Updates, and Catalina upgrade. Passed Catalina and will always pass. 2 Updates for Mojave accepted, 1 was for Safari - installed Ok, 1 was Security Update 2019-001 10.14.6 => downloaded and install starts, request Restart, continues after restart trying to install and suddenly reboots again and offers it again and again (install fails?). 3# Boot directly to Mojave doesn't work, even that Clover has set value "ToLastSuccesfull" or something. Always boots to Clover boot choose menu and as I have BT Kb & Mouse - unable to choose as BT "driver" not loaded yet. Have to connect wireless Kb & Mouse dongle for boot choose and pull away after choose. After boot BT Kb & Mouse works Ok again as drivers loaded. Can you help me once again to get my Hackintosh finalised, almost in Top Shape now, almost. Audio & Boot & Updates... That DSDT & Patching would be nice to lear or understand. Do I need it and what benefits it gives or problems solve? My current EFI from Mojave SSD attached.

  15. Thanks MaLd0n, Went a lot further this time before freeze/Hanged. -Deleted my EFI from USB, emptied Trash, replaced by your EFI - didn't change or edit anything. -Booted OK from USB (USB2.0 in front) -Verbose list starts, continues, holds for a moment, continues, holds for a moment, continues and finally Hanged -> "GTrace sync point 7" -Waited about 2min, was just going to Power Off from power button... -Line appeared -> "kext stall(0) (240s): 'AppleACPICU','AppleACPICU','AppleACPICU','AppleACPICU',..." -Waited about 10min, nothing, Power Off from power button... Did the same again -> took video, cut to parts to be able to make attachment. Took also 2 screenshots from Hanged point (same text, another bigger to get more text visible). So Advanced much more my friend BTW, Isn't those Atheros & Realtek kexts for Wifi ? I don't have Wifi in Z820 (internal or external dongle). Those were downloaded as default when creating USB again and downloaded kexts (perhaps Clover looked from iMac where USB was created?). At least there was automatically iMac14,1 marked in SMBIOS -> changed to MacPro6,1. I have loaned friends iMac27" (late 2012) with Mojave to DL Mojave from AppStore and make this USB. He is not convinced that HP Z820 can run macOS or beat his original Apple... :DD Added in 1 minute 5 seconds: Hmph! Have to cut video again, too big file size... 16. -Ok, Created Mojave USB Boot stick again. -Installed Clover 4920 (says so when booting from USB stick). -Clover updated kexts automatically, accepted default ones. -Added ONLY your Voodoo file (24C/48T). -Edited config.plist with Clover (removed nvidia driver parameter from Boot) -Changed iMac14,x from SMBIOS to MacPro6,1 and generated fake serial by pressing "generate new" multiple times. -"Saved" via Clover. -Now UFI Boots OK from USB (front USB2.0). -I choose "install Mojave from USB" -Black screen, informs in the middle "Clover 4920" -Then some verbose text, identifying something... -Then actual verbose text starts running and Hangs (Picture-1, Picture-2 from the same but horizontal so more text visible in "error line". -I wait, just in case.... mayby 20sek later text goes scrambled and (/) sign appear in the middle of the screen... (picture-3) -I wait more, just in case.... mayby 20sek later text goes even more scrambled and (/) sign in the middle... Screenshots attached, also latest EFI (Clover & kexts updated). 17. Thx MaLd0n. You are the only one who has answered or helped in any Hackintosh forum, I appreciate that !! Updated your Voodoo to my EFI. Little further this time From Verbose list in the beginning of Install I can see that all 48 "CPU"'s are now identified Ok. No more that USB error & recovery loop... But now it hangs after that, screenshot attached. I can see the same actually twice before it hans in the last one. The end of hanging line says something like ....panic(cpu 0 caller "hexaddress"): thread wants credential but has no BSD processes "@BuildRoot/Lib... BTW, As I didn't find any successfull HP Z820 Mojave guide anywhere (mean from any Hackintosh Forum) I used the High Sierra guide, that I found from www.insanelymac.com (https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/335860-guide-2018-z820-high-sierra-the-great-guide-sucess/). The guide also had all kexts etc for EFI but all for HS. I don't know are they Compatible with Mojave ? The writer has also Guide for Sierra. But in HS guide he tells that files from Sierra are not Ok for HS and had to be updated. So perhaps they need to be updated also for Mojave ?? To my knowledge the only BIG difference is that I have different CPU's but that is now fixed by your Voodoo file. And HS guide has NVidia and Thunderbolt (I have ATI and No Thunderb.) There was also talking about something like "ssdt.aml to EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched" and there should also be correct amount of CPU C/T. And AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext related to same. If I use his files, they are wrong as he had less Cores. Do I need these ?? This "patching" is a little bit out of my competense as I build my first Hackintosh. Added in 10 minutes 55 seconds: I don't know the "right code" for Forum usage as I'm a Noob, is it allowed to mention other Forums or Attachents from there ? Sorry if I break some rules. But this EFI I found for HP Z820 for High Sierra. It has Nvidia, "smaller CPU" and Thunderbolt. I have ATI RX580, "bigger CPU's" and no thuderbolt, othervice the same desktop with USB2/USB3, SATA and SAS. Hanged.zip 07 CLOVER FINAL.zip
  18. Hi MaLd0n, Can you help me with the VoodooTSCSync.kext ? I have now read many Forums related it and I should edit & make new VoodooTSCSync.kext file. As I have Dual Xeon 12C 48T and all files found so far are something like Dual 8 or Dual 10C. If I'm correct my VoodooTSCSync.kext should have value "47" inside it. => ((2x12)x2)-1=47. But I don't know how to edit or "build" my own kext as Noobie. Can you help or make me one ? Added in 6 minutes : I found some editor for Voodoo, but don't actually know how to use it. When opening existing, it always shows that CPU value as 0 (perhaps it's a default in editor?). And in some youtube video there was mention that in top of that plist.something is the processor type in hex ? Or was that Voodoo file correct that you send to me in your EFI reply ?
  19. Thanks, Tried your EFI, no help - same problem. Booted Ok, Installation starts... First comes error about Voodoo, then continuing... Second comes the USB error and recovery attempts "loop" that just goes on and on... Powering off manually after few minutes as no change. Added 2 pictures and short video from Starting Installation from USB. 2_Screenshots.zip Start-Of-Install.zip
  20. EFI.zip was already in Attached the first post, but here it is again as Zip file in case I messed something in posting... And Thank's MaLd0n for your interest and Help Added in 4 minutes 8 seconds: Hmmmmm.... Post says, that at least I can see... Attachments ---------------- EFI.zip (2.58 MiB) Not downloaded yet Whats "not downloaded YET" ?? I Add Files, Search file, Open file, green bar is advancing fully and green tick mark given. Then I press "Post" Can you see and DL my attachment or am I doing attachment to forum wrong ?? EFI.zip
  21. Screenshot attached as zip file. -I boot from UEFI USB to Clover start page. -Choose Install Mojave -It starts the install process, telss the Clover version etc and I can see some lines going verbose -THEN it starts to repeat something related to EH01@1 AppleUSBHostController and EH02@1 AppleUSBHostController, hardware exception called and trying to recovery... and this goes on and on and on forever like "in loop". Installation never goes further and "probably" even doesn't start doing anything to SSD. Only thing that I can do is press power until it shutsdown. Remove USB stick and power on, Win10 starts normally. I believe the problem is in my Clover EFI configuration, tried to "copy" things from other guides Sierra & High Sierra for Z820, but they looked all different and I'm noob with all those kexts and possible variables and variations. Didn't see or find any Solved guides for Mojave. And most of those Z820 guides had like 1 Cpu with 10 cores or 2 CPU's with 8 Cores (Total 16C). I have 2 Cpu with 12 Cores (Total 24 Cores & 48 Threads - thats why I bought it). Screenshot.zip
  22. Hi All, Noob here trying to build my first Hackintosh from used HP Z820 that I bought. Removed the NVIDIA Quatro K4000 and bought brand new Asus RX580 8GB. Money spend, trying to get macOS Mojave working (Win10, No Thanks!) At the moment - no luck, GF pissed ($$$$), black box on the floor. -macOS Mojave downloaded Ok. -16GB Bootable Mojave USB created Ok. -Clover installed to USB stick (EFI) and KEXTs downloaded (probably not all Ok ??). -Config.plist edited and saved. -Z820 BIOS settings done for macOS OK. -Z820 Boots from UEFI USB stick to Clover menu. (front USB2.0 or Back USB2.0) -Install chosen, verbose list starting to run .....and then just eternal EH01 & EH02 USB Controller error and trying recovery... (see picture attached). Unable to install Mojave to SSD. Wiping SSD & HDU during installation is Ok - I don't need Win I know that my EFI is wrong configured as I'm a Hackintosh Noob and trying to do my first Hackintosh. USB's configured wrong ?? Also, how does installation figure that I have Double Xeon - Total 24 Cores & 48 Threads ?? Isn't that configured in some Voodoo-something ?? Tried to look other examples and EFI's but other Z820 had either double 8' or 10's (Total 16 or 20C) and Z600 are different also... Can somebody help and support Noobie ? Attached my EFI as zip and tried to attach JPG picture (850KB) from Boot screen but file not accepted (file format) And sorry, English is not my mother language. ### HW Specs.
