Tigres
Hi guys, I was trying to find the DSDT for my Asus K53SD since in my hackintosh it won't identify my processor and I can't get to work most of my components, i.e: sound, graphics, wi-fi, etc. These are my Tech specs: Processor : Intel Core i7 2670QM 2.2ghz Primary OS : Windows 7 Home Premium x64 Chipset : Intel HM65 Express Chipset Memory : 4GB DDR3 1333 MHz SDRAM Graphics : NVIDIA GeForce 610M with 2GB DDR3 VRAM (also has onboard Intel HD 3000) HDD: 750GB 5400rpm (I believe it has Sandy Bridge) I've just freshly installed Snow Leopard 10.6.6 For more info on specs: http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Versatile_Performance/K53SD/#specifications I tried to use this tutorial on how to make my own Edited-DSDT: http://tonycrapx86.com/viewtopic.php?t=35559&fb_source=message I used the patch of an Asus K53E, but it didn't work, nothing really changed (it didn't gave me a kernel panic or something like it, it just didn't change a thing) What should I do to make things work? Cassio
DSDT patching can fix some issues and make some things work better, but it won't make everything work like magic. Read this http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=634 For this hardware I recommend Lion. Snow Leopard 10.6.6 doesn't support your video, Lion does (Intel HD). Â Ok I'll try that, but I can't get OS X to recognize my processor, which then leads the Lion App to not letting me install it, it says: "Mac os x 10.7 lion requires a core 2 duo, core i3, core i5, core i7, or xeon processor" And it just says "Quit" on the bottom... How should I install it?
Cassio
Try forcing SMcputype through smbios.plist (i7 = 1793). You can use Chameleon Wizard to generate a valid serial number for your selected model (should be MacBookPro8,x).
