estou tentando instalar o catalina num notebook Asus X550LN
Config i5 4210U
12gb RAM
Nvidia 840M
grafico HD Intel 4400g
SSD 480gb
Wifi Atheros AR5B225

só consegui por o video e não esta funcionando fiz o tutorial mas n ta rolando direito esta meio lerdo o pc  e diz q esta com 7mb de video apenas , sem audio e sem wifi, sem controle de brilho . tomara q tenha solução ! abraços!

Sir, could you kindly help create required files.  Friend installed OS using clover.

Current issues:

• Sleep function not working. Will not sleep.
• Onboard Audio not functioning. 
• Onboard bluetooth not functioning.
• Onboard Wifi not functioning.

Todo va perfecto tanto con Catalina como con Big Sur. el wifi no funciona pero en un desktop no tiene mucho sentido.

I'm having some difficulty getting the ALC887 audio up in my config. I looked for several ways to try to make it go up, but I couldn't. From what I noticed, in AudioCodecs.txt, it doesn't recognize audio hardware at all.

Config:

Mainboard: GIGABYTE B460M DS3H
BIOS: F3 - First Launch Release
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-10100 CPU @ 3.60GHz
Video: GIGABYTE RX 580 8GB
MacOS Installed: Catalina 10.15.5

Hello, completely grateful for your work. I have already installed it and if my pci appear. I have a question my hackintosh keeps freezing, however in windows it works fine, any idea what it could be ??? In my ignorance I thought that it could be the dsdt but it did not work for me for the purpose I was looking for. Thanks for your help.

Nah, unfortunately i find it impossible to boot with open core.

I followed the guide 3 times sticking on HASWELL-E settings (all return error after OC menu), i used the X299 EFI folder as you suggested in other post (panic), i tried X99 EFI folder (doesn't even load the bootloader). 

I also tried all the above with my clover DSDT, plus EC.aml, plus some patches. (all alone and as combinations ..  i lost count)

My case is very unique since this CPU without a DSDT wont load anything but windows. And when i extract a DSDT from windows i get 200+ cores... 

i guess i should call it a day and say goodbye to OC. ..🙄

I've used the EFI from your Lenovo S145. It was the way to install. Others EFI got stuck before reaching installation.

Like a boxer on the ropes taking hooks and uppercuts to the chin, I decided to start from scratch again, at least now I have a working keyboard and mouse, still no touchpad gestures, but at least it's working!!just needed my DSDT patched for battery stats, if you could kindly help, nice one
