mozbius 2
I am following Olaria’s instruction to install OSX 10.13.6 released 2020 but I am unable to see my SATA hard drive during the install process (in diskutil). My motherboard is an Asus P6 T Deluxe v2 (x58 chipset Legacy motherboard with no UEFI support). Problem remains no matter what setting I use (IDE, RAID or AHCI). Note: My hard drive was detected no problem with Niresh 10.13 USB release. Can somebody help me or suggest a way to make my harddrive appear during the install of MacOS Olarila 10.13.6? Unfortunately that didn't work. With that kext on the Orila USB I get a crash with the non entry logo before I even get to lay eyes on the installer itself. FYI 1: I use "Set Nvidia to VESA" because I have a GTX 260 video card (without that I get a reboot of the computer). FYI 2: I have copied the kext to the EFI partition of the USB in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other at first (that resulted in a crash) then I used EasyKext Pro to install the kext into Library/Extensions (but the crash is still happening) with AHCI or IDE or RAID in BIOS. OBSERVATIONS (if it can help) : I did face an identical situation with the previous 10.13.6 Olarila package that was provided here and was able to work around it (in IDE, RAID & AHCI) by using the zip that is associated to Tech Labs' video (unfortunately that doesn't work with the 2020 package). That being said I will do my due diligence and leave no stone unturned and will test all the USB ports on the PC with 4 different USB keys with : *Olarila Stock *Olarila AHCI Injected *Olarila EFI replaced *Olarila 2020 Stock *Olarila 2020 AHCI Injected *Olarila 2020 EFI replaced And then come back here with my results. Obviously it’s going to take some time but hey it is Social distancing time! Lol.
shabaa 1
Leave no stone unturned is a good idea. I had a similar problem with my first Hackintosh when snow leopard came out but perseverance finally came through and the problem was resolved. I know you addressed your video card issue by making it vesa but that isn’t a great solution and the 200 series nividia cards aren’t really compatible. Get a compliant card that will work with the later OS versions. Edited May 4, 2020 by shabaa
