Hey Artur!

It's been a long time.

I'm back from UK and I gave 10.8 a try again. Updated it to 10.8.2 and (somehow?) there was an info.plist in ATI5000Controller kext, so I added my device id there. Then in AMDAccelerator kext I added my device id under Juniper(yes, my HD5670 has Juniper core) and voila! It works perfectly.

(first I tried add under Evergreen. it worked, had QE/CI but when i wanted to do something (like open Disk Utility or Safari) the system crashed totally(not a single kernel panic. all frozen).

Now I'm using the system for the 2nd day and it's alright.

However I'm not satisfied with the performance.

I think that my card isn't running on the max gpu core/memory frequency. What do you think?

Is there any way to check this or what benchmark should I run or should I set the cores manually in the card's bios?

I know that the Radeon cards can set their gpu core and memory frequency down to 157/300 from 775/900 (in my case) and I'm afraid my card's running on 157/300. When I check the heat of my gpu it's cooler then in windows.

Any tip/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Motherboard: Gigabyte H61M-D2-B3 (Bios: F10) CPU: Intel i3-2120 3.30Ghz RAM: 1x4GB Kingston 1333Mhz

VGA: VTX3D HD5670/1GB (Juniper core. Device id: 68B9 - Has to add manually to ATI5000Controller and AMDAccellerator kexts.

must see if applegraphicspowermanagement

are well apply

perhaps using a smbios for a nvidia gpu, and if so must use a legacy_agpm.kext

to insert the right parameters in applegraphicspowermanagement

Hey

I'm using iMac 11,2

Model Name: iMac

Model Identifier: iMac11,2

Processor Name: Intel Core i3

Processor Speed: 3.29 GHz

Number of Processors: 1

Total Number of Cores: 2

L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB

L3 Cache: 3 MB

Memory: 4 GB

Boot ROM Version: IM112.0057.B00

SMC Version (system): 1.30f3

wikipedia said iMac 11,2 and iMac 11,3 are using (optionally) HD5670 but my CPU is socket 1155 and these iMacs are using socket 1156 CPUs.

Is this a problem or no worries?

My kextstat.

Here it does not mention AGPM.kext being loaded (but in system info-extensions it says it's satisfied).

do i need to patch it or replace it?

(imac 11,3 smbios)

thanks

edit.: oh, god! the hidden file tricked me.

i moved into AGPM.kext with terminal and i found the bloody hidden info.plist

I looked for iMac 11,2 and iMac 11,3 and this is all i found

iMac11,2

GFX0

control-id

17

LogControl

iMac11,3

GFX0

control-id

this isn't seem to be a lot of information.

any idea what should I put here or a tutorial?

have u read this

After obtaining this information you should keep a file with the extension *. txt, then proceed on Mac OS X to edit another file system located in

/ System/Library/Displays/Overrides/DisplayVendorID-756e6b6e/DisplayProductID-717

to do this make a copy of it to the desk, and changed its name to DisplayProductID-717.plist, introducing the Raw Data obtained by the method described above, an example of the original file and the file already containing the Forced EDID Raw Data

first u must know what file is loaded for u display, mine is that..

then look for the picture and u will see

where u gonna insert u raw data

hi

already tried all imac smbios settings (11,1 and 11,2 and 11,3). no difference. same performance.

i use chameleon wizard always

lately i found out myself the agpm is loaded but when i'm booting in a line it says it has found an unknown device or something like that meaning there's wrong with my agpm kext.

also my console is writing this sometimes

9/27/12 2:34:42.000 AM kernel[0]: Couldn't alloc class "AMDJuniperGraphicsAccelerator"

9/27/12 10:42:07.000 AM kernel[0]: Kext com.apple.iokit.IOAcceleratorFamily - library kext com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily not found.

i use a premade dsdt for my motherboard and i can't find any vga related in my dsdt.

do i need to define my vga in dsdt?

if you go to system preferences - displays try look for an option to "mirror" the screen which means you see exactly the same on both screens.

give it a try.

and have you tried editing your EDID information?
