Hello everyone

I am attempting add the HDMI output to my info.plist on the VodooHDA but the info.plist in the tutorial looks different to my info.plist

For example in the tutorial the info.plist has a key with name HDMI, my info.plist has not this key

I dont know if i did good adding my device id, here is my info.plist

Hello all,

I try to make my X-Fi titanium fully working with 2.8.1 kext compiled from sourceforge svn lastest sources.

I have sound working with no mod from green back/front output, with headphone detection.

My problem is the mic that do not work.

Which way should I take to troubleshoot a port that does not work ?

Hi,

I'm using VoodooHDA 2.7.4 on Dell Optiplex 755 running OS X 10.8.3 and GPU is ATI Radeon 5670

Everything seems to be ok- a little crackling using headphones. Not using HDMI. Generally all very good, thanks to devs!

Couple of questions-

Would it be worthwhile upgrading to latest pkg?

And, I haven't removed AppleHDA - is it necessary and what are the options eg complete removal, or I did read about a HDA disable kext?

I do get occasional KP's, but usually fine after reboot. Generally very stable system- for about a year now, using Lion then Mountain Lion.

Hi guys. I have a stupid problem.

The jack on the macbook has broken so that it forces the output to digital audio. Hardware fixes won't work. Is there a way to hack voodoohda to just disable this devil away! and output it to normal speakers. I know it can be done, but I can't contact the voodoohda devs for help

I got a weird problem using VoodooHDA. I won't hear anything until I'll remove the Orange rear jack from the computer. After some research I've found that My orange and green are on the same line-out and after restart ML detects the orange one what leads me to not hear sound.

This is how my Audio devices look like:

If i'll push the Orange jack in it will take the green one place :

And I won't be able to hear anything. How can I completely disable the orange line-out? (I still want to keep the jack in for my Windows gaming OS)

Hi, i have been trying to patch my plist file but i dont know how to edit. I used PlistEdit pro but every time i save it i get error message. I never had any experience editing the files on a mac, only Windows. I know it's works like regedit on windows but i dont know how to use it so can anyone help and edit my file? Post a codec dump of your motherboard audio, you posted the nVidia HDMI one.

Configure IOPCIPrimaryMatch with mobo audio ID, restart and run getDump again.

Hope someone can help me

I have a Lenovo G480 NoteBook, I have install osx 10.8.2. I can play the sound via Headphone and Int. speaker. Buy my problem is I need to connect some usb device for my audio out, such as "Matrix USB SPDIF". I have edit the info.plist. I have change and add both of "IOPCIPrimaryMatch" to my Audio Control and my Display Device ID. But when I connect the USB device, If just can show out 3 device in my output session "Speaker, Head phone and Digital Out(HDMI)". At Windows 7, I connect the USB device, It will show out a new speaker device. When I try to use the HDMI cable connect to my TV to play the movie it also haven't any sound out. I have patch my Dsdt use the HDEF method, cause from my start I try to mod the applehda.kext. Now I use the VoodooHDA.kext 2.8.4 Lion PKG, do I need to remove the HDEF in my DSDT file ? I really want to use the USB device, could someone can help me?

I was updated to 10.8.5 and suddenely my sound card doesn't work any more.

I tried to use latest VoodooHDA but the volume is too low.

I tried the

VoodooHDAEnableHalfVolumeFix

but with no luck

I have 2 soundcards: one is onboard and another is Omega ht claro plus. I wonder with those sollution, whether I can fix my Omega card? my onboard card is ok now.

Do you try read the guide?

There said

Problem: kext doesn't work (usually when there's more than one audio card or the video card has HDMI audio).
Solution: use solution 2 for kernel panic problem above. If you want to use both cards, create one entry for each card in IOKitPersonalities.

So only follow it.

successfully edit info.plist and sound is working, but in order to do that kernel flags -f needed on every boot. I tried installing voodoohda.kext using kext helper and kext beast but there's an error saying voodoohda was not properly installed. tried already chown 775 command/clearing the cache/use kernel cache but nothing works. i edit info.plist outside(desktop), after adding 0x1c208086, overwrite it back inside voodoohda. should i chown info.plist? attach file if someone could fix it. thank guys

Oi Amigo vim pedir sua ajuda pois tenho problema de audio da minha placa mãe codec via VT1708s.Estou tentando usar uma saida HDMI da minha placa de video GF 210 mais não injetar HDMI.

Estou tentando usar VoodooHDA 2.8.5 para Mavericks mais o som HDMI só funciona 2 segundos e para e esta com atraso.Se poderem mim ajudar por onde começar ficarei grato.

First off all thanks for this topic !

I installed two days ago VoodooHDA 2.8.5 and since I do not have KP, which is a big change compared to the old VoodooHDA I used!

Thank you for the good work!

However, since, I'm facing three problems not included in those listed in the first post:

The first is that I lost sound systems (eg when a file is copied / deleted, etc. I do not have the usual sounds). How to get them back ?

The second problem is that every startup if the speakers (Green Rear) are connected I have a very loud and deafening sound due to default settings of VoodooHDA inputgain who are in their maximum before launching VoodoohdaSetting loader!) How to lower their level of codec ?

The last problem is that the internal microphone does not work. How to enable it ?

Otherwise everything else is OK!

Edit Info.plist and set MixerValues instead of using VoodooHdaSettingsLoader.

Try this and check if mic works

I Manage to overcome the problem of the very loud sound at start up, using your suggestion !

For the mic, I can not insert your code snippet in plist. I always get an error when I want to save. I knew how to do it before with VoodooHDA 2.8.2 but with 2.8.5 no success.

I can't see an error there.

About the mic issue, try playing with Mic and iMix values in prefPane.

Maybe you need to change Monitor value instead of iGain to get rid of the loud sound problem (probably audio feedback?).
