Hello guys !

I just installed VoodooHDA and I apply the introduction of the device id. Unfortunately, none of the microphones (one next to the webcam and the one used with headphones) works!

Can anyone help me move forward in solving this problem?

Here is my getdump and screen shots showing the elements I have described above.

A big thanks advance.

Wonderful forum!!

Does mic show in VoodooHDA prefPane? You can try different values for Mic, iMix and iGain.

Does auto-detect work? You can try this, then you have to select which mic to use in sound preferences.

I changed all the possibilities in VoodooHDA prefpan, but I do not have access to the preference of iGain.

What are your suggestions to activate it?

Edit :

Please do not consider the beginning of my present message !

Here what I do and What I got :

Patch nids values as you suggest

Before :

<key>NodesToPatch</key>
		<array>
			<dict>
				<key>Codec</key>
				<integer>0</integer>
				<key>Enable</key>
				<integer>0</integer>
				<key>Node</key>
				<integer>11</integer>
			</dict>
		</array>

After :

<key>NodesToPatch</key>
		<array>
			<dict>
				<key>Codec</key>
				<integer>0</integer>
				<key>Config</key>
				<string>0x01a19040</string>
				<key>Node</key>
				<integer>24</integer>
			</dict>
			<dict>
				<key>Codec</key>
				<integer>0</integer>
				<key>Config</key>
				<string>0x99a30150</string>
				<key>Node</key>
				<integer>25</integer>
			</dict>
		</array>

Q1? : I wonder is it that it was okay to delete that portion of code?

<dict>
				<key>Codec</key>
				<integer>0</integer>
				<key>Enable</key>
				<integer>0</integer>
				<key>Node</key>
				<integer>11</integer>
			</dict>

Here is my new getdump and my prefpan settings:

Getdump Test 1.zip

Prefpan Mic Test 1.zip

Note: With these changes I have access to iGain now! thank you very much!

Q2? : How to enable autodetect (may be it showed on one of your your previous posts but I confess that I'am confused with the great amount of information delivered in this topic...

Thanks for your time Cassio

A1: Yes.

A2: Auto detect is default, we tried to disable it because mic was not working.

Did you try just removing that patch in node 11, but don't patch nodes 24 and 25? I guess that node 11 patch (disable) was to avoid larsen effect, but you have other ways to do it (see first post).

edit Info.plist, replace the key IOPCIClassMatch by IOPCIPrimaryMatch and put the PCI ID of your audio card in string.

I have a dual boot Windows 7 and Lion 10.7.4. Everything is working except the sound. I have been trying to make sound work for quite some time now but to no avail. SystemInfo.app shows i have a 1c20 Audio Controller.

i have an Intel HD audio Controller, an HDMI (Intel HD3000 Graphics) and in Windows Device Manager i can see Conexant (14f1 5069). Also in Windows Device Manager i can see Intel Display® Audio (2805 8606) which is different from what i see in Mac SystemInfo.app (Downloaded from this forum) which is 1c20. I am confused.

None of it is working. Speaker on Menu bar is enabled after installing VoodooHDA-v2.7.2 (1c20x8086 already mentioned in info.plist) but no sound at all. I tried alot of kexts but nothing is working.

Any suggestions in this regard will be highly appreciable.

Thanks

Looking forward your helps.

Hello,

I believe this is normal, HDMI output has no output control. Even my satellite receiver (HDMI output) has no volume control, I need to program its remote control to change the volume of the TV set.

hi, i got a DELLe6410, and running on 10.8.2, all works but the volume control not working for me, even i made the following change, any other solutions ? the voodoohda ver used is 2.7.3

i got two audio all can found in system under 'sound'

1) intel HDA 5 series/3400 series chipset (ven id 8086, dev id 3b56)

2) nvidia HDA (ven id 10de, dev id 3b56)

i did change the following but it not works :(

Problem: volume control (slider) doesn't work.

Solution: enable VoodooHDAEnableVolumeChangeFix in Info.plist

Code:

VoodooHDAEnableVolumeChangeFix
