Update to 10.9.4 Caused GFX Tearing/Flickering

So I foolishly decided to update my hack book which was working 100% and now I get random gfx tearing and flickering when I play chess for instance.


Everything appears to be unchanged and proper in graphics menu. What could be causing these issues?
