Ivy Bridge and lower no longer supported by macOS Ventura due to AVX2 requirement

Recommended Posts

Apple has released macOS Ventura and it shipped with AVX2 requirement this means any CPU which doesn't support/shipped with AVX2 won't able to boot macOS Ventura and Ivy Bridge and lower don't support it (But Installer Assistant can be booted). AVX2 is supported by/shipped with Haswell and above. Isn't there any method to bypass AVX2 requirement and boot Ventura on Ivy Bridge and lower?

Ivy bridge dead!?? Come on, my little 1680v2 can still stand side by side with 10th gen in some aspects..
And as far as i remember you @MaLd0n was a great x79 fan!

The question still stands .. Can AVX2 requirement be bypassed ?

oooook one year later ......
So despite all the negativity ..:P i  managed to install Ventura on my system using CryptexFixup.kext BUT on the last reboot of the installation i get the error below:

panic(cpu 2 caller 0xffffff8012f27b1e): initproc failed to start -- exit reason namespace 6 subcode 0x1 description: Library not loaded: /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib
  Referenced from: <EF26A3BB-B918-30CF-8F28-0AC45F932E67> /sbin/launchd
Reason: tried: '/usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib' (no such file), '/System/Volumes/Preboot/Cryptexes/OS/usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib' (no such file), '/usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib' (no such file, no dyld cache), '/usr/local/lib/libSystem.B.dylib' (no such file)

this seems to be a very consistent and probably very specific error. No matter what changes  i do, error does not change.

I read that it occures on incompatible CPUS, like AMD or older intels. But still ... i managed to reach the last reboot of the installation! It can't be that bad....

Anyone have any ideas about this error?
