sparky2k
Hi, Thanks that worked, quickly held down key "1" after selecting my USB boot device and in the Chameleon bootloader. Think I'll stay with Chameleon then, always used it fine before on my older hackintosh/Windows system on Snow Leopard. Installer loaded fine too, only have snow problem over DVI via KVM switch, think had it before, does OS X enabled HDCP that my KVM may not support? It works fine normally if I connect to my monitor's HDMI port instead.
newbforlifes
Hi guys, I just got an Asus S400 and I've managed to install using safe boot but when booting I run into this error NTFS-fs warning(device /dev/disk1s4, pid139): ntfs_system_inodes_get(): Windows is hibernated. marceldarvas
Try using some partition manager to mark the partition as active http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2238 I tried doing both: marking the partition as active and using the .bat file. None of them work. Could the problem be that I want to install Mac OS on my SSD that still has Windows on it? (Once I get installer running fill format drive)
pernacabeluda
You should be able to boot the installer, no matter if there's already an OS installed in the target drive. Did you configure the BIOS properly to boot from USB? marceldarvas
Edit #3: Installed Mac OS X and it was working OK (apart from Sound, LAN), then I installed a DSDT for my motherboard. Restarted and now I am getting a kernel panic. How can I remove that DSDT. I am trying to boot in with both USB and SSD but none work. Should a do a fresh install? Thanks! pernacabeluda
I don't get it, how did you manage to boot the installer? Booting from USB should ignore DSDT.aml in SSD. You can also boot from SSD typing DSDT=no. Never use DSDT from someone else, patch your original one instead. pernacabeluda
It depends on the cause of the KP. You can boot the installer and use the terminal (utilities menu) to fix it. Post a picture of the KP screen. marceldarvas
EDIT: seems like everything is working now. shutdown and restart after I created my DSDT. My only problem is, that when I start my computer, I have to use these Bootflags to make it boot: -v -f -F ncpi=x3000. How do I add these to go automatically? I also think that is a problem, when I boot from USB I have the Chameleon bootloader (displays at top, also the logo is a Chameleon), but when I boot from SSD the logo of the Bootloader is from unishit or tonycrap (you know that red thingy, an apple or something), which I don't know which bootloader is. How do I configure the boot settings of the Chimera bootloader (if it is that)?
pernacabeluda
You can set the flags in org.chameleon.Boot.plist using Chameleon Wizard. I don't know about tonycrap stuff. Ramniss
Hello. I tried googling this problem but I can't find any answer. Clover works but when I select Mountain Lion, it ends up hanging on a black blank screen. I already deleted video kexts and the kextcache something but it still wouldn't work.
