Help with DSDT patches for Lenovo x300

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I've been trying to make a good DSDT file for my laptop, but haven't managed to make something that works very well.

I've tried applied all the ICH8 patces in the notebook subfolder and the system is running fairly well. But, missing some way of controlling the brightness, it goes to sleep but wakes up straight away.

Thanks for any help or input.

Hello Jack,

I would like to know few things if you don't mind.

I have a HP 6910P laptop with X3100, which i rarely use. Currently running Lion on it. Working fine with out a DSDT. But I'm interested to see how much can be done with the DSDT edits.

I am using edited kext for X3100 but can i enable the X3100 graphics with native kext and the above DSDT edits?

About brightness control is the PNLP patch enough for it or do we need other patch?

I have issue with CPU fan as well. It will not run when on battery but when connected to AC it runs ok.

Thanks.

I did tired editing Siggehandf coz i saw X3100 edits and it got me interested.

I installed the X3100 drivers from this thread:

They work amazingly in Lion, super fast graphics.

Still no luck with sleep tho. The system will go to "sleep", only to be waken up by ECH0/ECH1.

Other then that, I got a fully working Lion installation. My own Hackbook with built in 3g wwan. I'll recieve a Artheros wifi card next week, to replace the Intel one. Hopefully i'll have sleep worked out by then.
