kralde
Hello, maybe somebody is able to help-  This is my 1st interaction with Mac or Hackingtosh ever. So sorry in advance if I don't understand something.  My (relevant) hardware:  ASUSTeK Computer INC. P8Z68-V (LGA1155) Intel Core i5 2500K @ 3.30GHz Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology 16,0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 824MHz (9-9-9-24) (4x4GB) 8192MB ATI Radeon RX 580 Series  I followed the below steps to try to install Mac on my machine:  1- Downloaded Lastest Big Sur and lastest Catalina VANILLA versions from this post: New Vanilla Olarila Images - Olarila Pre-Made ISO ( Recommended ) - Olarila 2- Flashed them after extracting the "raw" file using Winrar, using Balena Etcher (with Big Sur) and WinDisk32Manager (with Catalina) 3- Downloaded the EFI folder for my chipset (not relevant, since I never reached Mac OS) 4- 1st attemp, Big Sur: ACPI Kernel Panic error before the GUI installation. Later I learned the problem was itself with the build and something about the open kernel that I didn't really understand. Any way, after trying to change some things in clover as disable some DSDT Patches etc, I gave up. 2nd attemp, Catalina. This time I was able to proceed to the GUI instalation. Format my disk to APFS following the guide. Disk ready and clean, but got the "cannot install mac on this computer" Tried to change on SMBIOS the model of Mac to "Mac 14,2". Changing this allows me to start the installation. But when It's about to end (2 minutes remaining) I get "an error has occurred" from the installer.  So, I'm totally stuck and I don't know what to do at all.  My current state is: windows 10 PC, no access to any MAC Pc at all, and I want to install Big sur or Either Catalina, doesn't matter.  I've recently found this thread: Olarila Catalina for Intel and AMD Pcs - Olarila Pre-Made ISO ( Recommended ) - Olarila Should I use this one instead ?  Any help will be so much appreciated , please. Thanks a lot!    Edited December 1, 2020 by kralde
