[Help] dsdt auto-patcher error

Recommended Posts

Don't use Auto-Patcher to apply individual patches, use DSDT Editor instead. You also need to apply the DTGP patch.

Check bdmesg output, you should see

Read HFS+ file: [hd(x,y)/Extra/DSDT.aml] xxxxx bytes.

You may need specific PS/2 kext to have working fn keys.

Don't need to be an expert, just run command in terminal, it's installed with Chameleon.

You will always need working PS2 kexts, it won't work just with a patch in DSDT.

Then you don't have the command installed, it comes in Chameleon official package.

For SpeedStep you have to patch AICPM http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1003

You may need to patch DSDT too (read under "power management") http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=634

hola Cassio,I have Chameleon_2.1svn_r1820_trunk_10.8.pkg.How is possible the command is not installed? This means that DSDT is not working? maybe I should choose some option in the installation ad hoc of Chameleon?this version of Chameleon works in 10.7.3?ty

I have dsdt.aml in extra I extract it with dsdt-editor patched and saved there, and with it have a KP and before an inscription that says something like this:pc root uid value wasn't found use 0 if you want it be 1 use -pcruit flag.If I run windows and delete by macdrive the dsdt.aml mac restart.

Then there must be something wrong in that file.

For some laptops you can't fix compilation errors or it won't work, you have to run iasl in terminal to compile with errors (or use iaslMe).

I tried to use iaslme but can't understand what it do.Have to extract dsdt in dsdt-editor save as DSDT.dsl drop in iaslme and:

ASL Input: /Users/ale/Desktop/DSDT.dsl - 9799 lines, 322856 bytes, 3938 keywords

Compilation complete. 11 Errors, 131 Warnings, 5 Remarks, 6 Optimizations

All done.

Enjoy ...

then what I have to do?

Apply patches in DSDT Editor, save as DSL (don't fix compilation errors), drop DSL on iaslMe, it should generate AML ignoring errors.

Looks like DSDT.aml was loaded now. Maybe the patches you applied didn't make a difference.

SSDT.aml is not important, you are using Chameleon to generate P and C states

SSDT with CPU C-States generated successfully

SSDT with CPU P-States generated successfully

For fn keys you probably need specific PS/2 kexts, I told you that before.
