Lion in VirtualBox

Recommended Posts

An alternative for those who do not have Mac OS running: Install in VirtualBox, and from it do the procedures in other topics, which require to have the Mac operating system working.

Download the DVD ISO image http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=740

It can be recorded on DVD and installed directly on the PC this way http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=740#p7322

If it doesn't work, you can install it on VirtualBox and from it create a pen drive or create a new modified DVD.

Create a Virtual Machine to Mac OS X Server (64 bit)

Uncheck option Enable EFI

Select the .iso file as virtual DVD drive

Make the installation as described here http://Olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=740#p7322

Hi,

I did this with Mountain Lion on VBox on Win7 (64) host on an Alienware M11x R3 (i7,8GB) and it works fine. The only things I'd like to fix, are the keyboard layout (which I haven't taken the time to search for a fix) and the graphics part, for everything is a bit too laggy. For the graphics part, I've found several threads here that tell how to fix things on a hackintosh; but not for a VM. Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance
