How do I get Big Sur on Lenovo Ideapad 330?

I managed to install with beta9 and already have new versions available.

It's easy on my machine. Just download and the system will do their job. But some user reported kernel panic and 'Full Installer Required' case.

Just try then, but beta 9 broke hevc.

Add boot arg 'debug=0x100' and 'keepsyms=1' then post the pic where does it stuck/boot.

On this page there is a section for Beta 10, you have to make changes to it so that it accepts Beta 10.

Please do attach a screenshot of the panic.. would help a lot in diagnosing the problem! A generic solution you could try is to update to the latest version of OpenCore and update all kexts. Usually fixes update issues!

The first error is probably because of an old or incompatible kext. Try replacing it with the latest release and the second one is because of an older version of opencore.

Try the EFI below, should work just fine. If it doesn't, please post the photos as you did earlier. Cheers!

Hey guys, I have an 330s-15IKB with an UHD620. I can't get anything to work with Big Sur. I have a working Catalina install with Clover but I want to switch to Big Sur and OpenCore. May anyone of you send me your EFI folder for reference?

Olá Marlon .... tenho este mesmo modelo de lenovo 330 81FE0002BR (i5 8250u, trackpad SINAB49, .... se quiser testar minha EFI .... estou usando Bigsur 11.0.1 .... (Versão BIOS ... 8TCN57WW) 

 

Caso teu trackpad seja ELAN, subistituir como kexts (voodooHID.kext + Voodoosinaptycs.kext) pela VodooELAN.kext!

testa ai a efi e nos diga o que deu ....

HI guys, you are doing amazing work, I manage to install RC2 version of big sur and I am using the above EFI folder for booting up. But I am facing some issue

1) I have ELAN trackpad, I tried using the above suggestion replacing synaptics and HID kexts with ELAN one but it doesn't work

 

2) I am having sleep issues with my big sur, Its not sleeping and it goes into a black screen, I have no option but to restart

same thing is happening if I am not working and my screen dims, one it dims it wakes up with black screen

 

It will be a great help if you guys can help me solve the issue or share  your EFI folder.

Hi guys I was able to solve sleep wake issue by disabling my AMD gpu which was causing the issue the only thing giving problem  now is my touchpad
