  1. this is what happens. Maybe the install doesn't finish correctly? create USB drive to install macos add appropriate /EFI files to USB drive boot from USB drive and install macos to osx-monterey (at around 12 minutes to go, it quits and reboots) boot from target drive (osx-monterey) "macOS Update Assistant" prompts "A required firmware update could not be installed." which just press "OK" "macOS Update Assistant" prompts "Select the system you want to use to start up your computer" Here At the last step, I expect to see my target drive, osx-monterey, but it's not there. Just an empty list. So, the question is, did the install fail? Is this what I should expect to see when the install is done? - rt
  2. I have made hackintosh OpenCore for Asus rog strix gl753vd.I have made mostly all things working, but only one thing was not working, which is fn hot keys. So, there was a kext called AsusSMC, which allows fixing the fn hot keys. But the installation guide for the kext says that we need to patch the dsdt. when i try to patch the dsdt dumped from opencore acpidump.efi in maciasl app, then it shows the exact same error as in the screenshot I attached. Even directly trying to compile system dsdt in maciasl app gives those same errors. I tried to research about this errors but could not find any proper solution. Your help will be really appreciated.

I wanted to know if anyone could tell me about the changes I should make to my EFI, I'm using this one as a base: https://github.com/luchina-gabriel/BASE-EFI-INTEL-DESKTOP-1STGEN-LYNNFIELD-CLARKDALE, my configurations are: Intel I5 650, Motherboard Duex H55Z, 8GB Ram. I'm wanting to install BigSur, and I just need to change the EFI, because when I boot my PC it keeps flashing ''_'' and doesn't start. If anyone can help me I really appreciate it!
  15. Realtek ALC269VC codec. Everything on this Hackintosh is working great! Only problem is no matter what layout id I use it refuses to work. Not even a glimpse of the microphone working. All necessary SDST patches are in place and the USB ports have been mapped. Still no luck. Checked to see if Apple ALC is even working in terminal and it is. Please Help!
  16. Hey guys! Just did an install of BigSur on my first-gen X1 carbon and all is working great! Well... Apart from arguably the most important part of a functioning operating system - The brightness slider! I've added the SSDT-PNLF.aml and AppleBacklightFixup.kext files to my EFI folder with no results. I've also done a couple of iGPU patches but they haven't helped at all either. It's a notebook-ivybridge machine. No brightness slider appers in settings and it's completely blanked out on the control center 😕 Hope I can get it working with your guys's help as it's the only thing holding this back from being a great hackintosh! Here is the model of my machine if it helps: https://psref.lenovo.com/syspool/Sys/PDF/withdrawnbook/ThinkPad_X1_Carbon_1st_Gen_WE.pdf Looking forward to hearing your reply! Thanks, MegatronsKneecap!
  17. i have skylake i7-6700 and when i am trying to boot montorey i am getting this error can you please help me here is my efi :- https://easyupload.io/c15gyj here is the photo of the error:- https://easyupload.io/vwnzhz
  18. I've been facing an issue where randomly upon restart, OSX will change the date to 2035. The day and time will remain correct, but the year will be changed. This causes all kinds of issues with software and the wifi. To fix it I have to reset the computer (sometimes multiple times) until it changes itself back. Any idea how I can stop it from doing this? Thanks!
  19. Hi Guys! I'm new here so if this isn't in the right section than my bad lol 😅 Basically, I've been given this laptop by a friend as they no longer need it. I'm not exactly in need of another laptop... But, this actually a pretty nice machine! With a decent full HD 1080P LG panel, nice keyboard and trackpad. It actually runs as a pretty fast machine for a laptop just bordering on mid-range! Given these few things, I think it could make a pretty decent Hackintosh project. It's rocking: - An Intel Pentium N6000 Silver CPU (Jasperlake). - 4GB LPDDR4 RAM. - (Not many people have been able to find this info but w/ some digging) Intel UHD Icelake G1 Graphics or its production name "32EU". - Realtek ALC 256 Audio. - Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A Wireless Network Adapter. I can't find a single darn article about Jasperlake & Hackintoshing on Google. I saw somebody say the Pentium graphics aren't supported but it has to be, being an Icelake-based platform. Although, I used the Icelake EFI file and it wouldn't even boot. I got a completely black screen. I've done a couple of Hackintosh projects before using the OpenCore guide and The Olarila method. Both were simple and easy to follow. With a couple of articles, I was up in a matter of hours. This being a sort of "unsupported" machine (as it's Pentium-based W/ Unsupported Graphics) it is a little more difficult to source the correct info for it. But I think it just may be possible! The specs are actually perfectly fine for MacOS BigSur which is my target OS. Mojave and Catilina are also options too. It's basically a little more snappy than a 2013 MacBook Air. Anyone think it's possible?! I'm willing to put the time needed into this as a fun little weekend gag so that shouldn't be an issue. Looking forward to hearing your response! Thanks, MegatronsKneecap.

  21. Hi, I would like to know whether my laptop HP 15-AY0008TX is compatible with the BCM94360NG M.2 card. I read that this card is natively supported, so WiFi and BT work right out of the box. I opened my laptop yesterday, and it is an EA key, if I am not wrong. But the problem is that on AliExpress, it says not compatible with HP laptops! https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000631796433.html?spm=a2g0o.store_pc_groupList.8148356.6.77eb7cc5YhdCqO&pdp_npi=2%40dis!INR!Rs. 5%2C520.00!Rs. 3%2C201.92!!!!!%40211b88f116802074224798677e4559!10000004356560460!sh However, on eBay or UBuy, there's no such warning about incompatibility! https://www.ebay.com/itm/203049906420#shpCntId https://www.ubuy.co.in/product/891U6QWY-b0861t79qy Can anyone assist me with this? 23. Good afternoon everybody! I wanted to know which Olarila file I should download to put MacOs on the laptop. Specifications of it: Intel Pentium T4500 (Penryn); 4GB RAM DDR3; GL40 chipset; Anyone who can guide me straight on how I can install it, thank you!
  24. I want to put hackintosh (high sierra) on a 250gb hd that has nothing, but I'm afraid of not doing it right and it ends up being left for my other hd with windows installed and my files saved. I have another HD with Windows 10, but I'm afraid that installing something on the HD corrupts Windows 10. Could someone give me the right instructions so I don't do something wrong and end up damaging my windows 10
  25. Hi, i have a problem on my hackintosh with ventura 13.2.1: Mic doesn't work; all other things work perfectly except this. I already tried all the layout id available for my codec and tried to patch with hackintool and audio works on every codec with bad quality except for layout id 66 and 71 but in none of the layouts the microphone works. i even tried to make the ssdt-hpet patch for fixing irq conflict but no way. I haven't tried VoodooHDA kext because I read that the sound with it is with bad quality. Pc Model: Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga (4th Gen) with intel i7 8565u audio codec: alc285 If anyone could help me solve this problem I would greatly appreciate it EFI, IOREG and other dumps
