  1. For those who might be interested to try the grand daddy P6T Deluxe v2 motherboard with Catalina 10.15.6 here's my EFI which includes kexts to allow my network card, sound, iMessage and Rosewill RDCR-11004 Data Hub to work with fully detected SATA drives EVEN while the BIOS is set to run as RAID (Note: The hard drive on which I install Catalina is not in RAID).

    I am also including my DSDT even though it wasn't needed for the install.

    The SMBIOS is for a MacBookPro 14,2.

    In order to successfully install Catalina I had to disconnect all other hard drives except the one SSD on which I was installing Catalina. After the installation is fully working then I was able to reconnect all my drives (including Windows 7 & Windows 10 drives) including drives that were set in RAID0.

    Also during the whole time I had my GTX680 AND GTX260 installed on the motherboard (I use my old video card gpu for modest acceleration of some tasks under windows such as video conversion...).

  2. I tried booting without the usb but then I end on that gray screen (picture 1 in my last post). I am not sure what I am supposed to do there. I think I have tried all options but never got the initial setup screen to show up.

  3. I will give the restore a try later and test less involved methods first... I have tried 10.15.3 Olarila Vanilla image...

    1- I have added my High Sierra DSDT.aml  in the USB
    2- I have modified the SMBIOS on the USB with Clover Configurator  to make my pc look like a iMac 14.2 (could this cause a problem considering that my hardware is nowhere similar?)
    3- I have added to the USB some kexts (which worked with Mojave) to detect my SATA drives

    Doing this allows to bypass the previously reported error message. After an automatic reboot¬†a¬†¬ę data ¬Ľ drive gets created.¬†

    1- should I load directly on the data disk?

    2- should I use the USB to boot on data disk?

    NOTE: When I boot data disk with the Olarila USB the install resume at 13minutes then when it reaches about 3 minutes left the computer reboots.

    Do you have suggestions to make 10.15.3 install work or is it not worth trying based on your experience?

  4. Hi everyone,

    I know that I am starting to stretch the envelope with attempting to install Catalina 10.15.6 on the grandpa motherboard P6T Deluxe v2 after successfully installing Mojave :

    but here we go... I started with the  "This version of macos 10.15.6 cannot be installed on this computer" error.

    Which I fixed through changing the SMBIOS of the Catalina USB ( EFI/CLOVER/config.plist) to iMAC14,2 in Clover Configurator.

    But now I am getting, 2 minutes before the end of installing Catalina, "An error occurred while preparing the installation.Try running this application again"

    flat smileys

    * So I added the EmuVariableUefi  ( Clover Configurator -> Install Drivers -> DRIVERS UEFI 64 Bit -> EmuVariableUefi -> Download )

    * And I added a patched DSDT.aml (in EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/Patched)  :

    .... But I am still getting the  "An error occurred while preparing the installation.Try running this application again" error message. Does that mean it is the end of the road for me?  Also I notice that the EmuVariableUefi.efi gets copied into EFI/CLOVER/drivers/UEFI even though I have a BIOS based motherboard is that ok?

    u try last kexts version and alcid=5 or other supported layout for ur audio codec

    Thank you for your support  MaLd0n!

    After some further investigation here's what works with my Mojave P6T Deluxe v2 (AD2000b) setup (I will retest with layout id 5 again just in case)...

    KEXTS : Latest Lilu & AppleLC

    CLOVER CONFIGURATOR: Devices: Layout 7, ResetHDA,

    upload image to internet

    AND deleting HDAEnabler kext

    I also removed LegacyAppleYukon2 since it didn't turn on my Marvel Yukon network card on my motherboard (IONetworkingFamily did )Audio-Kexts.png

    By the way my Rosewill RDCR-11004 - Data Hub is working too (when something is connected in it during boot sequence) which is awesome.

    Quick question : Can P6T motherboard install Catalina?

    Muito obrigado.

  6. Anyone has been successful with AD2000b and Olarila Vanilla Mojave with Lilu and AppleLC ?

    Video card + Network card + Skullcandy USB headset are working fine but I can't seem to get my P6T Deluxe v2 soundboard to be detected either with layout ID 5 or 7 in Clover even with MaLd0n's patched DSDT file (obrigado).

    Is it normal that hackintool shows 99 as a layout ID?

    (blue flagged files are to allow my RAID drives to be detected, grey to make my integrated Yukon Ethernet work).

    the problem is about usb, try all ports

    Somehow I am not confident that the problem is the USB to be honest because then how would you explain that the older packaged Olarila 10.13.6 and Niresh 10.13 go through the install every single time without fail on that same USB key and same USB port?

    That being said I will do my due diligence and leave no stone unturned and will test all the USB ports on the PC with 4 different USB keys with :

    *Olarila Stock
    *Olarila AHCI Injected
    *Olarila EFI replaced
    *Olarila 2020 Stock
    *Olarila 2020 AHCI Injected
    *Olarila 2020 EFI replaced

    And then come back here with my results. Obviously it’s going to take some time but hey it is Social distancing time! Lol.

    use ahci mode and with this folder

    I have taken the ZIP then did a REPLACE (should I have done a MERGE instead?) and the result is the same.

    OBSERVATIONS (if it can help) : I did face an identical situation with the previous 10.13.6 Olarila package that was provided here and was able to work around it (in IDE, RAID & AHCI) by using the zip that is associated to Tech Labs' video (unfortunately that doesn't work with the 2020 package).

    Thank you MaLd0n  for your help. Unfortunately that didn't work.

    With that kext on the Orila USB I get a crash with the non entry logo  before I even get to lay eyes on the installer itself.

    FYI 1: I use "Set Nvidia to VESA" because I have a GTX 260 video card (without that I get a reboot of the computer).

    FYI 2: I have copied the kext to the EFI partition of the USB in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other at first (that resulted in a crash) then I used EasyKext Pro to install the kext into Library/Extensions (but the crash is still happening) with AHCI or IDE or RAID in BIOS.

    There has to be something wrong with your configuration or set up. I have never heard of a clover boot time like that! Something is not right with the setup. You should drop a little coin and get a SSD. That drive you got is really slow to begin with and if the files are spread out then it is going to take longer to boot ... but not as long as you say, so something is wrong with the installation as it is limping along.

    I can assure you that there is nothing wrong with the way MaLd0n has the instructions and setup for installation. I have 2 systems older than yours with a P35 and G31m chips that work perfectly with the installation information and tools here! Boot time on both is less than 20 seconds.

    You might want to consider making a donation and get into the donator’s area where you can get really good support and get your DSDT checked out , fixed if necessary. I got everything working on my dinosaurs and everything works great on them. Even iMessage!

    Enoch Chameleon won‚Äôt work with the Olrila installation. ¬†High Sierra support will be ending in about 6 months so I ‚Äėd figure out what you‚Äôre gonna do. I know that my dinosaurs will be moving¬†on to either Mojave or Catalina. They are older than what you are running and will work fine with minor changes.¬†

    Get a SSD and use your mechanical  drive for  storage.

    Thank you for the suggestions. I will give the 2020 package a go and see how it goes and indeed shall support with donations.

  11. I am following Olaria’s instruction to install OSX 10.13.6 released 2020 but I am unable to see my SATA hard drive during the install process (in diskutil). My motherboard is an Asus P6 T Deluxe v2 (x58 chipset Legacy motherboard with no UEFI support). Problem remains no matter what setting I use (IDE, RAID or AHCI).

    Note: My hard drive was detected no problem with Niresh 10.13 USB release.

    Can somebody help me or suggest a way to make my harddrive appear during the install of MacOS Olarila 10.13.6?

  12. Before testing Olarila OSX 10.13.6 I used to run Niresh 10.13 which was working EXTREMELY well. My GTX 260 Nvdia 896Meg grand daddy videocard was fully recognized, my screen was detected with brand name and all, network card, usb, bluetooth the list goes on...

    But then OSX started to nag me me with 10.13.6 updates notifications. Installing the update would instantly break my Hackintosh.

    So I turned to Olarila 10.13.6 and I am facing one hell of a problem....

    Boot sequence¬†with Clover literally takes 15 MINUTES!!!! The longest part is when the ‚ÄúStart ReadKernelCache‚ÄĚ message shows up I kid you not the PC will stay there for 8 MINUTES!!!!!!!

    On Niresh 10.13 the Chameleon bootloader would take at most 15-20 SECONDS!!!

    So my question to you all:

    Is it possible to boot Olarila High Sierra 10.13.6 with Enoch Chameleon?

    I have a grand daddy PC based on a P6T Deluxe V2 motherboard with BIOS (not UEFI) and running on a Sata Seagate Samsung Spinpoint 1.5T hard drive.

  13. Alright I have made some advances...

    First I have setup a Virtualbox to be able to modify the Olarila Installer USB and did the following:

    1- Got a GTX 260 compatible ‚ÄúEl Capitan‚ÄĚ NVDAStartup.kext (from tonycrapx86)

    2- Got a P6T Deluxe v2 network card Marvell Yukon 88E8056 compatible IONetworkingFamily.kext (from Insanelymac)

    3- Got a ‚ÄúHDD not visable in Disk Utility‚ÄĚ fix (found at

    4- Copied all of those downloads into:

    * [EFI]/CLOVER/Kext/Other

    * /Library/Extensions

    * /System/Library/Extensions

    5- Used BatCHMOD because I am lazy (from lagentesoft) to change the permissions of the uncompressed files that copied over in those folders to 755 (except that I have noticed the files in the EFI partitions had all 777 permissions so I did the same for the files that I have added in there.

    6- Then I installed Olarila’s High Sierra USB using:

    * -v

    * slide=0

    * nv_disable=1

    * debug=0x100

    7- After Olarila USB’s reboot I booted MacOS using the USB again with the same settings as in #6

    And now going through MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6 I get the following when trying to sign in into my itunes account (after entering my confirmed credentials):

    protocolVersion 2 DefaultButtonLabel OK Body Try signing in again. Error ID

    GENERIC SERVER ERROR DialogType GenericDialog AlternateButtonLink.skipped

    AlternateButtonLabel.skipped localizedError GENERIC_SERVER_ERROR

    DefaultButtonLink.skipped Header Unable to sign in because of a problem communicating with iCloud.

    description Generic server error when setup is down HelpLink.skipped

    When that screen shows up, the buttons at the bottom of the screen don’t work. Does anyone have suggestions?

    Also is it normal that it takes ‚Äúsooooo loooooong‚ÄĚ to boot with clover legacy? Like it takes several minutes before even seeing clover‚Äôs boot menu and then the whole loading up of MacOs take about 12mins :shock: just to show the first MacOS screen?!? I guess I am missing something cause with enoch and 10.13 it merely takes seconds to boot.
