  1. I tried booting without the usb but then I end on that gray screen (picture 1 in my last post). I am not sure what I am supposed to do there. I think I have tried all options but never got the initial setup screen to show up.
  2. I will give the restore a try later and test less involved methods first... I have tried 10.15.3 Olarila Vanilla image... 1- I have added my High Sierra DSDT.aml in the USB 2- I have modified the SMBIOS on the USB with Clover Configurator to make my pc look like a iMac 14.2 (could this cause a problem considering that my hardware is nowhere similar?) 3- I have added to the USB some kexts (which worked with Mojave) to detect my SATA drives Doing this allows to bypass the previously reported error message. After an automatic reboot a « data » drive gets created. 1- should I load directly on the data disk? or 2- should I use the USB to boot on data disk? NOTE: When I boot data disk with the Olarila USB the install resume at 13minutes then when it reaches about 3 minutes left the computer reboots. Do you have suggestions to make 10.15.3 install work or is it not worth trying based on your experience?
  3. Have you been successful?
  4. Restore.....? As in BigSur restore? 😮
  5. Hi everyone, I know that I am starting to stretch the envelope with attempting to install Catalina 10.15.6 on the grandpa motherboard P6T Deluxe v2 after successfully installing Mojave : but here we go... I started with the "This version of macos 10.15.6 cannot be installed on this computer" error. Which I fixed through changing the SMBIOS of the Catalina USB ( EFI/CLOVER/config.plist) to iMAC14,2 in Clover Configurator. But now I am getting, 2 minutes before the end of installing Catalina, "An error occurred while preparing the installation.Try running this application again" flat smileys * So I added the EmuVariableUefi ( Clover Configurator -> Install Drivers -> DRIVERS UEFI 64 Bit -> EmuVariableUefi -> Download ) * And I added a patched DSDT.aml (in EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/Patched) : .... But I am still getting the "An error occurred while preparing the installation.Try running this application again" error message. Does that mean it is the end of the road for me? Also I notice that the EmuVariableUefi.efi gets copied into EFI/CLOVER/drivers/UEFI even though I have a BIOS based motherboard is that ok?
  6. Thank you for your support MaLd0n! After some further investigation here's what works with my Mojave P6T Deluxe v2 (AD2000b) setup (I will retest with layout id 5 again just in case)... KEXTS : Latest Lilu & AppleLC CLOVER CONFIGURATOR: ACPI: change HDAS to HDEF CLOVER CONFIGURATOR: Devices: Layout 7, ResetHDA, upload image to internet AND deleting HDAEnabler kext I also removed LegacyAppleYukon2 since it didn't turn on my Marvel Yukon network card on my motherboard (IONetworkingFamily did ) By the way my Rosewill RDCR-11004 - Data Hub is working too (when something is connected in it during boot sequence) which is awesome. Quick question : Can P6T motherboard install Catalina? Muito obrigado. IONetworkingFamily.kext.zip SATA-RAID.zip
  7. Anyone has been successful with AD2000b and Olarila Vanilla Mojave with Lilu and AppleLC ? Video card + Network card + Skullcandy USB headset are working fine but I can't seem to get my P6T Deluxe v2 soundboard to be detected either with layout ID 5 or 7 in Clover even with MaLd0n's patched DSDT file (obrigado). Is it normal that hackintool shows 99 as a layout ID? (blue flagged files are to allow my RAID drives to be detected, grey to make my integrated Yukon Ethernet work). free picture hosting
  8. When booting from a USB key are the Kexts + configs in the hard disk Clover EFI ignored?(I am asking so to know how to make safe changes. Last time I applied a DSDT.aml file OS X wouldn't boot anymore which forced me to reinstall OS X).
  9. Somehow I am not confident that the problem is the USB to be honest because then how would you explain that the older packaged Olarila 10.13.6 and Niresh 10.13 go through the install every single time without fail on that same USB key and same USB port? That being said I will do my due diligence and leave no stone unturned and will test all the USB ports on the PC with 4 different USB keys with : *Olarila Stock *Olarila AHCI Injected *Olarila EFI replaced *Olarila 2020 Stock *Olarila 2020 AHCI Injected *Olarila 2020 EFI replaced And then come back here with my results. Obviously it’s going to take some time but hey it is Social distancing time! Lol.
  10. Should I use the AHCIPortInjector.kext in this EFI ?
  11. I have taken the ZIP then did a REPLACE (should I have done a MERGE instead?) and the result is the same. OBSERVATIONS (if it can help) : I did face an identical situation with the previous 10.13.6 Olarila package that was provided here and was able to work around it (in IDE, RAID & AHCI) by using the zip that is associated to Tech Labs' video (unfortunately that doesn't work with the 2020 package).
  12. Thank you MaLd0n for your help. Unfortunately that didn't work. With that kext on the Orila USB I get a crash with the non entry logo before I even get to lay eyes on the installer itself. FYI 1: I use "Set Nvidia to VESA" because I have a GTX 260 video card (without that I get a reboot of the computer). FYI 2: I have copied the kext to the EFI partition of the USB in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other at first (that resulted in a crash) then I used EasyKext Pro to install the kext into Library/Extensions (but the crash is still happening) with AHCI or IDE or RAID in BIOS.
  13. Isn't Metal graphic card required on Mojave? You have an older PC's than mine with Metal compatible videocard?
